  1. New Butterfly rubber ratings

I find the more tacky a rubber is the easier it is tog spin with a brush stroke. The less tacky a rubber is the more a full contact stroke is required to get hard spin. This is probably why DHS decreased the H3 tackiness. They actually improved speed an spin for full contact strokes... Cheers L-zr

Me too, The V-grip does not have any advantage at all, it screws up both FH AND BH... The ordinary penhold is a superb grip for FH. If You want to play BH, use shakehand... Cheers L-zr

FH is the STREGTH of the penhold, why on earth would you want to screw this up? The penhold is already perfect for active BH blocks... Cheers L-zr

  8. Side tape REALLY change the feeling or not? What do you think?

It does, I ripped the surface on my precious SDC blade when pushing. The rubber caugh on table and tore the top layer. Since then I always use edge tape and I have pushed into the table many times after that and still my blades are intact… Cheers L-zr

  11. Which is better for Jpen???

Not really, it was used in the old times by jap players. There are still people who loves it but it’s difficult to spin with. I’m just saying that the wood hinoki is famous for 1 ply blades. Multiple layers are the norm in the modern world… Cheers L-zr

  18. Which is better for Jpen???

All other aspects, 1 ply hinoki is very stiff, A carbon layer can make a blade hard but flexy and all other options. There is an endless point of combinations. 1 ply hinoky blades are mainly used by old timers that don't need a lot of spin and are addicted to the feeling. If You are a...
  19. Which is better for Jpen???

Some hinoki blades are made as a thick one ply. This makes them feel very special when hitting the sweet spot. But in the same time they are very fast and bouncy. They are made for speed and not so easy to spin with. The feeling seems to be addictive but there is nothing else that makes them...
