  4. Tenergy 05 = most overrated equipment item?

This is like an old Japanese set up. For speed, not so efficient for spin. Very difficult to counter at close distance… Cheers L-zr
  5. What brand of TT balls do you prefer?

Nittaku premium and DHS DJ40 very similar. But in reality I get to play with so many different types that it doesn’t matter anymore. One exception though. I hate Butterfly training balls. Don’t know why I just hate them 😟 Cheers L-zr

Not everyone is looking for the best result, but for the most fun. I know I am… If I get better is a bonus. I can tell you ej’ing is giving me a lot of fun… Next I will be trying my “baby primo carbon” (Neottec Amagi carbon) 😇 Cheers L-zr

Makes no sense at all. Hurricane 3 vs Rakza 9 makes a massive difference. Rakza 9 is made for speed and Hurricane 3 for spin… Cheers L-zr
  10. Why Table Tennis is such a pure, unique 1-of-1 sport

Strength matters less, agility is much more important and for sure you can not be a couch potato 🤣. Cheers L-zr
  11. Beginner setup advice

I don’t know much about Penhold and blades, but I know one thing. Playing with the same side requires a lot of wrist twisting… Also I would try get the setup as light as possible. Cheers L-zr
  12. Got me a 1 ply kiso-hinoki jpen

I put a standard Rakza 7 2mm on FH and DHS C7 2mm on BH after removing the cork. It’s super fast, I can imagine how yours was with T05…. Cheers L-zr
  13. Good Forehand Rubbers instead of Tenergy 05?

I found T05 very demanding in the short game. Then I vent to Nittaku Hammond Z2. It is good because it will accept your strokes almost as is but you will get less of everything except security wich increases a lot. Then I went to Tibhar Hybrid MK. It has excellent spin and is not too reactive...
  14. Care for blades and rubbers

No point, unsticky protectors don’t stick well to sticky rubbers. Sticky one does. But there is another problem with sticky protectors. They collect dust. Just put them on as good as you can and put the racket in a case and it will be fine. Cheers L-zr
  15. San Francisco looking for training partner.

100% agree, cleaning with water makes more damage… Why… because of the capillary effect at the end grains. That’s where you don’t want access water when cleaning rubbers. Cheers L-zr Edit: sorry I just realized this thread wasn’t about sealing
  16. “Sealing effects performance”…. Is there any proof?

Never seen varnish that look or act like this. It’s probably water based. The one I’m talking about is oil based you use white spirit (Lack nafta in Swedish) to thin it, It takes -2 hrs to get dust proof and hardens in -24 hrs. After 15min you can still pour it off the surface… Cheers L-zr
  17. How big is genuine Cybershape blade.

  18. “Sealing effects performance”…. Is there any proof?

A little bit, much less than varnish. But the effect diminishes fairly quick with use. It also depends how much you use. Cheers L-zr
  19. “Sealing effects performance”…. Is there any proof?

No, the unprotected naked wood sucks up sweat and dirt like a sponge. Once it’s in there it stays… Cheers L-zr
  20. “Sealing effects performance”…. Is there any proof?

Then handle is visible, the blade isn’t , I’d like it to look nice but I most of the time don’t do anything with it… But I always seal my blades. The change in characteristics is minimal and the change over time is less as well .. Cheers L-zr
