This thread is 3 years old and I think I see op intermittently on the forum. Maybe OP could gives some info how the project went?
  2. the best feeling all wood blade

I've been forcing myself to play with the Virtuoso. For the first 10-20hrs it felt incredibly empty. But with time... Sweat. And tears. Now after that it is slow af, but spinny af. I am pretty sure that I will be able to build the speed on the blade after a while of practice.
  3. Soft or hard rubber?

Pg7 is all wood. Limba ayous ayous ayous ayous ayous limba.
  4. Blade/Rubbers recommendation for a beginner looking to develop basic strokes

That is why I wrote to do not overthink it. A nice blade + 2* whatever nice rubber. When learning T05 vs AK47 does not matter.

  6. Blade/Rubbers recommendation for a beginner looking to develop basic strokes

Don't overthink it. XIOM Ofensive S or that Neottec blade will be good enough. Two AK 47 or Hidden Dragons and you are ready for training.
  7. Looking for non-tacky rubbers

That depends on definition of black magic. It requires a bit of dance and ritual moves... Being serious. Moon Pro or rubbers alike do not require any change. They can be used from the getgo.
  8. Looking for non-tacky rubbers

Also Battle 1 and Battle Max

  10. Looking for non-tacky rubbers

Palio Hidden Dragon. Yinhe Moon (non pro). Sanwei Gear and Taiji (I might be wrong).
  11. D09c vs H3Neo vs Rakza Z

I did not get that feeling from 09c, but I have been training with tackies all my tt life so, that might be a factor.
  12. D09c vs H3Neo vs Rakza Z

I wouldn't call it shore A and O. Someone on this forum made a very extensive post about it. Also Hagisv made a number of tests and the numbers were 5 degrees off advertised. Chinese use Shore A I think, and i refuse to acknowledge that butterflies 44 sponge is harder than 40 of (chinese shore A).

    Words of a wise man.
  15. Question about Hybrid Rubbers

It is nice. It is really hard to call it hybrid though. Weird one. Tacky top but sponge is easy to compress, but not bouncy. Medium is a little to soft for me. It is more like tuned hard sponge than tensor.
  16. Opinion on my new setup

It would suit even some advanced players... Even some pros. The AK47 are very nice rubbers. The best non tacky china has to offer I think. Blade is a bit fast though, but it will do.
  17. Question about Hybrid Rubbers

Golden Tango PS and Dignica 09c. Having a tensor spong is counter productive imho if you want a true Chinese top sheet. Sponge counters topsheet.
  18. Question about Hybrid Rubbers

Yeah... Don't use dignica 09c as price benchmark.. Take a looo at Donic Bliegrip, Gewo Codexx, Rakza Z Joola GT, Xiom Vega and Omega China, Victas Triple series, Tibhar K series. Basically every brand has it's own take on the subject. You can watch TT11 video on the subject
  19. Timo Boll ALC VS Viscaria

From my experience with commercial blades, the best approach is to buy from clubmates. Sometimes it means spending many hours looking but imho it is worth to buy the blade that just feels good than buy based on internet reviews and brand/model. As zwill said the variation is big.
