It depends, some rubbers can take it others can't. If someone says use 3 layers I would trust them. The process of resolving is slow so check the result before adding the next layer. But if the compound penetrates too deep the top sheet may loosen. Cheers L-zr

Boosting is actually the same as destroying the rubber. The booster contains a compound (mostly paraffin oil) that reacts chemically and resolves the rubber. So don't use too much or you will end up with a mushy mess. :) Cheers L-zr

You have to expect a certain variation. Butterfly for instance: 1.9 mm actually is 1.7 - 1.9 mm 2.1 mm actually is 1.9 - 2.1 mm So two of the one above could be very close in thickness. That said I think yours is way of the charts... Cheers L-zr

My guess would be that a penhold player tend to kill the ball quicker because it is harder to play defensive. Then they would want a faster tool for this. Cheers L-zr

I prefer Rakza 7 before MXP (actually before the entire evolution series) and G1. Haven’t tried the other ones. If You want a Tibhar rubber I recommend Hybrid MK. It has very little tackiness but tons of grip. Less catapult than Rakza 7. Cheers L-zr

I would say shore O 45 (ESN scale) be the softest. But some considersation fit the top sheet should be taken. I.e Rakza 7 soft and Vega Europe are too soft. Too soft rubbers would make serve receive and short game more difficult since the are usually more spin sensitive and catapulty. Cheers L-zr

Out of all the rubbers you mention, my pick is Victas ventus extra, but I’m a shake hand player. It’s a pretty fast and hard rubber with great spin capability. If your blade is really fast I would pick something slower, but stay in the hard range, don’t go too soft. 😉 Cheers L-zr

I have used Mark V HPS. They are great rubbers but a bit expensive for what they are. Faster than regular Mark V but slower than regular ESN rubbers. Spin is about the same as older generation ESN rubbers. They last quite a long time. I recommend them if You think regular ESN rubbers (~45-47*...
