  1. Prescription glasses for table tennis

The biggest problem is actually when the ball is “hanging in the air”. Your brain is surprisingly good to calculate the trajectory of a flying ball. I have no problems with this. Hitting a floating ball is a bit troublesome though. I use my regular glasses they work fine. Cheers L-zr
  2. Which blade would be a good transition from all to off?

No thank You, waaaay too much. Who is talking about a rocket??? Stiffness is not equal to speed. I like: - A fairly stiff blade - A soft top layer - A hard rubber. A 5 layer blade with Limba top (A little too hard but I’m using it for reference) a total thickness needs to be > 5.9 mm. Anything...
  3. Which blade would be a good transition from all to off?

To me too much vibration is an uncomfortable nuisance. A blade needs a certain stability and OC does not have it. It’s like playing with a leaf… It needs to be thicker. I say stay away from it… Cheers L-zr
  4. Which blade would be a good transition from all to off?

Agree on this one, great composition but too thin, gives too much vibration. I stopped recommending this one. Yasaka Sweden Extra is imo a much better blade, but the bottom line is that the player needs to change not the equipment. Cheers L-zr
  5. Which blade would be a good transition from all to off?

The switch is You, not your equipment… Cheers L-zr
  6. SDC Handmade Blades

To me it’s pretty obvious the engraving is a dragon… Cheers L-zr
  7. Looping every long serve

Exactly like my “ nemesis”. No it’s up to the point that I almost never get to return the serve anymore and never on FH… Once You get used to the serve it’s a breeze to receive. This is one of the fun parts of the game, the dynamics. Before long he’ll come up with a new serve… It’s important...
  8. Alc rachet can slow tecnique learning?

    +1 from here too… Cheers L-zr
  9. Lower quality of table tennis blades - Donic

Got this very recently, also from soulspin. In the closeup You can see something that looks like a damage. It is not, it’s a pattern in the wood… Cheers L-zr
  10. Lower quality of table tennis blades - Donic

I couldn't find such company. provide a lik please: "I made another complain and I was imformed that Donic is just an importer of blades and manufacturer is Soulspin." Yes Soulspin is a blade maker of premium quality blades. But donic does not "import" they are infact in the same country...
  11. Lower quality of table tennis blades - Donic

I think it has been handled by someone that damaged it… Cheers L-zr
  12. Alc rachet can slow tecnique learning?

Yes a setup that is too fast will make You to hold back and hesitate much more. This is definitely slowing down the progress. I recommend against Tenergy 05 FX. It’s a very reactive and bouncy rubber that makes the short game a walk on a razors edge. Select something less reactive. I use Donic...
  13. Lower quality of table tennis blades - Donic

I have 2, One Balastec from TT11 and one New impuls 6.5 from Dandoy. Both are top notch. The top ply damage is not necessarily a factory issue. It could be a number of reasons. Some imperfections are normal when it comes to hand made things (absolutely not damage though). Who did You buy from...
  14. Do you re-use glue application sponges?

Well, I tried that and found out that there is always some glues left over, so I quit that practice. The sponges are cheap I even used the ones for the household, they work too. Cheers L-zr
  15. Illegal serves solution: why not make BH serve mandatory?

What about lefties, should they be banned too? The one sensible thing to do would be to dump a bunch of the serve rules,. Start with all that are impossible to enforce... Cheers L-zr
  16. Uprgrading to a faster and spinnier rubber

I don’t like the Evolution series. The one dislike the least is MXP. But if you’re looking for Tibhar my favorite is hybrid MK. Grippy and spinny, not much catapult. Cheers L-zr
  17. Best rubber similar to Acuda s1

Another one to look at is Nittaku fastarc G1. It’s a small step up but not by a lot. If it’s for Your FH I would consider this. G1 for FH and Nittaku fastarc C1 for BH. Not a bad choice at all. Cheers L-zr
  18. Best rubber similar to Acuda s1

Spontaneously I would say Yasaka Rakza 7. Possibly Rakza X. Maybe Tibhar MXP also. At least the difference is small. Cheers L-zr
  19. Is the DHS 9002 (premade) any good?

Don’t know, you can check BTY’s spec file. It’s downloadable. It will give You an idea. Cheers L-zr
  20. Is the DHS 9002 (premade) any good?

ALC.S is a slower and more flexy variant. I have one with a flared handle. It’s heavy 91g and has an itsy bitsy teeny wheenie handle. Except for this is alright if you like slow. Cheers L-zr
