  1. Sanwei 54 ALC - what wood is this?

Definitely limba, I've never seen koto to have that kind of grain pattern
  2. Zhang Jike ALC / Viscaria - alternative with inner fiber construction

Maybe FZDALC? The handle is wider than ZJKALC and the balance is more in the handle but the construction is the same
  3. Is Dignics 09c good for serve?

T09C existed though seemingly not for the public, and Timo used it before D09C. Its on the LARC
  4. Serve return advice for beginners playing other beginners

I was honestly quite confused when reading this because its essentially saying "I want to know how to play better but I don't want to learn how to play better" but then I saw that your last post says you have only been playing at your local club for 7 total hours. By going to the club you have...
  5. Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive vs Tibhar stratus power wood

If you have already tried the GB5, YEO is basically just a toned down version of that blade. I can't say anything about R9 because I've never used it, but if you want medium and medium hard rubbers I think YEO would pair better for aggressive strokes than the SPW that is softer.
  6. Beginner, EJ, rackets, training.

Looks to me like the surface ply of the 03B is ayous and not limba. Yinhe often uses ayous instead of limba or koto on their especially cheap blades. Faster equipment will help you get more speed with less effort, yes. But to make an informed change that will actually benefit you, you want to...
  7. Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive vs Tibhar stratus power wood

I assume you have a Euro Korbel and my experience is only with the Japan Korbel- Both SPW and YEO are stiffer and more direct than JP Korbel, SPW feels softer because it is thicker than Korbel, YEO feels harder than Korbel because of the walnut outer ply. SPW has a large-ish headsize more...
  8. 7 ply all-wood with Koto outer and Ayous intermediate and core

Its a bit on the thinner side but it is also a bit wider than normal, not thin and skinny like DHS and some Nittakus. It is not as round as Butterfly handles
  9. Super alc

Imo the SALC is basically just ALC+. SALC is stiffer with a longer but lower arc vs the regular ALC. SALC is more automatic in blocking and counter but because of the different arc characteristics you have to have your angles and timing more on point to benefit from the increased offensive...
  10. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

I agree. I feel there is just something nice and substantial about LAC that Rxton9 and J3A do not have. I feel J3A is fast but it lacks the pull and spin qualities that H3/LAC offers, and Rxton9 has good spin and pull but doesn't have quite have the meaty support and pop I get when I hit through...
  11. Stepping away from carbon.

So you went from a slow allwood blade with a Chinese style fh rubber and an extra soft bh rubber, to a mild carbon blade with bouncier rubbers on both sides? No wonder you feel uncomfortable playing with this new setup. Its generally recommended that you change either blade or rubber when...
  12. Stepping away from carbon.

Did you use fastarc on your old blade?
  13. Change blade or backhand rubber?

I dont think a Stiga 2000 would be too fast of a blade, and Factive is not that "hot" of a rubber either. Have you tried the Vega X on backhand?
  14. Butterfly wildin

If my memory serves me correct, Tenergy 09C was the rubber that Butterfly gave to their professionals before they developed D09C. Unsure about T05N. These two stamp designs have been on the LARC for a long time: https://mytabletennis.net/forum/butterfly-to-release-new-tacky-rubbers_topic81038.html
  15. Post your latest EJ purchase

I don't think there are any DHS blades that are Butterfly shaped, 506 looks no different
  16. DHS fans unite!

The JSH and Mazunov, and also several T5000 blades like IFT5000/ZJKT5000 were on average much heavier than
  17. Best BH rubber (xiom vega)

I would argue the M version is better for bh than the H version because it is easier to compress the sponge
  18. Rumour new Butterfly flagship rubber

Will it crush the competition like D09C or will it die a horrible death like Aibiss?
  19. Spinlord FH short pimples

I have heard good things about Waran 1 and 2, they've been out for a while. Though I'd recommend either Rakza PO or VO>102 from my own experience, they are fast and spinney and easy to transition to from smooth
  20. Are there low price quality rubbers from major retailers?

Colestt is a relatively small operation but he's got the hookup when it comes to cheap
