  1. Need advice for buying my second bat.

Trust Yourself… But I would never recommend a Tenergy or a Dignics to someone who has only played for one year… Cheers L-zr
  2. Need advice for buying my second bat.

I know 2 scales Shore A and Shore 0. And butterfly uses shore A as far as I know. I never played dignics09C, but I have played H3. Don’t remember exactly what hardness but it was significantly softer than my Glayser09C and Dignics09C is even harder. Cheers L-zr
  3. Need advice for buying my second bat.

    We’ll 09C is rated 44, that’s even harder than H3 hard… Cheers L-zr
  4. Need advice for buying my second bat.

Just as bad as Tenergy, but in a different way,You need to be a great player effectively use this. Its like playing with a brick. Cheers L-zr
  5. Need advice for buying my second bat.

It’s OK, but I like Hammond Z2 better. Probably subconsciously because Z2 is made in Japan and G1 is an ESN rubber. The evolution series from Tibhar has made me turn away from ESN. Don’t like any of them. I do have a hybrid MK lined up but it turns out to be not any tack at all so we’ll see...
  6. Need advice for buying my second bat.

If you want to set yourself up to play with Tenergy sometime in the future, get Nittaku Hammond Z2 instead. It’s much much easier to play with, but your strokes are very similar. The rumor has it that it is a hard rubber, but in reality it feels soft. Cheers L-zr
  7. Need advice for buying my second bat.

What most likely will happen is that because Tenergy has a huge amount of catapult, you are going to hit you balls way long. This will make you hold back and slow progress down. It is much much better to use a setup that is a little too slow than a setup that is a little too fast… Regarding how...
  8. Need advice for buying my second bat.

Stay away from Tenergy, Use Rozena on both sides instead. Cheers L-zr
  9. Different style setups depending on opponent?

Yes but it is super soft and mushy, So now I actually like Mark V HPS better, but it’s expensive… and sometimes a bit too slow. Cheers L-zr
  10. Different style setups depending on opponent?

I have some of those sheets too, but no time to test them… Maybe a little too soft. What I have found is that to tame a super fast blade: Super slow: Mark V Little faster: Mark V HPS (super light as well) Faster still: Rakza 7 soft Even faster: Rakza 7 normal Don’t dismiss Mark V in this...
  11. Different style setups depending on opponent?

And, I don’t give a hoot about the sound, and I only use Rakza 7 soft to tame a super fast blade and to get the weight down but not so much anymore. I do still like Rakza 7 normal however. Cheers L-zr
  12. Different style setups depending on opponent?

Interesting, The feeling of the ball flying out like shot from a canon is the reason I can’t not let Tenergy go. It’s just an awesome feeling. Cheers L-zr
  13. Different style setups depending on opponent?

Absolutely. I use my Tenergy 05 setup against offensive players where I play a lot a little further back. This does not work at all against more defensive players where I get pulled in to a lot short game close to the table. For that I have a slower set up. Then I have a third set up for...
  14. New Allround (+) 5-ply blade - Which one to choose?

Seriously, it hardly matters they are all very similar. Select a 5 ply all wood blade just shy of 6mm in thickness (5.7 - 5.9 ). There you will have your all* - off- blade The veneer should be 2 thin outer layers and one thicker core layer. That is a well proven design. The maker does not...
  15. Describe your playstyle!

I swing and hit the ball, hopefully it will land on the opponents side… Allround with an Offensive focus. Try to get the upper hand and to attack before the opponent. Speed before spin most of the time, but always some degree of topspin. Placement is no:1 weapon. Like to make my opponent run...
  16. Need advice for buying my second bat.

You have to learn how to walk before you learn how to run… It’s the same thing as it is with too fast equipment. You start to miss, makes you hold back. Then you won’t swing properly. It generally takes more than a year to get a proper swing. Up to that point you are better off with something...
  17. Need advice for buying my second bat.

Another thing I don’t understand is how You can compare Tenergy 05FX with Glayser. It plays completely different. Cheers L-zr
  18. Need advice for buying my second bat.

You have to hit hard or it will give you very little back. Something softer is a better idea… Cheers L-zr
  19. Need advice for buying my second bat.

Glayser in any size shape or form is a baaaad idea for someone who has played one year…. Cheers L-zr
  20. Need advice for buying my second bat.

Generally rubbers are much more expensive than the blade. You shall be able to get a great allwood blade for $50us. Since you just began no point in buying a super expensive blade since you don’t know what you like yet. A rough estimate for some great equipment. Blade $50us, rubbers $50us per...
