  1. [Request] Post your SDC blades

Mjölnir befote the first dressing.. Cheers L-zr
  2. wood blades age better

The wood slowly dries, this means that the characteristics change over time. It depends on how the wood was treated. I have a primorac carbon that was given to me in 1997. Since then it’s been just sitting and the top was extremely dry and prone to give in when changing rubbers. I can not judge...
  3. Compare DNA Platinum M to Rakza 7?

Never played with it, but guess it that Platinum has slightly more speed and spin. Cheers L-zr
  4. Compare DNA Platinum M to Rakza 7?

Platinum M has more speed and spin. Rakza 7 more control. It’s quite a big difference. Cheers L-zr
  5. Is there really a difference between ESN hybrid rubbers?

Probably some of them are a unique combo of sponge and topsheet. Some may be the same. For ESN to manufacture unique products for all companies does not make sense. Many of them are definitely identical. Cheers L-zr
  6. Best and fastest rubbers for a beginner

I don’t play much behind mid distance, but I can imagine that could be a problem. The fact is that it is a little bit to slow to get the highest rating. But the short game is not a problem for me anymore which it was with T05/T05FX. Cheers L-zr
  7. tenergy 64 fx is faster than tenergy 05?

Yes true I have exactly this experience. Cheers L-zr
  8. Best and fastest rubbers for a beginner

Maybe I should mention that this combo is easier to handle in the short game than Tenergy 05/05FX. Cheers L-zr
  9. Best and fastest rubbers for a beginner

Pretty good, could have been a little faster but it gives the incentive to hit harder. Lots of spin though. I will probably go back to Tenergy 05 eventually. Have to work a little more with G09C. The regular Glazer is lethal on BH. Also requires a hard hit but as long as I close the angle and...
  10. Best and fastest rubbers for a beginner

I’m talking about ‘74 - ‘75. I don’t rememember Stiga having its own rubber back then, they used Yasaka. Never heard of Tibhar or Joola back then either. I know there was some Chinese rubber but not what brands. Nittaku existed but I don’t recall any rubbers, only cases and balls. Never heard...
  11. Best and fastest rubbers for a beginner

🤣Hell no, there wasn’t much to choose from. Basically only Yasaka and Butterfly. There was other brands but almost no shop stocked them. And of course no internet… I used to play with “Super Sriver” back then, don’t remember what the difference was compared to normal Sriver. Today I would...
  12. Best and fastest rubbers for a beginner

I used both rubbers in my active days as a youth player in the 38mm era. No problem then and no problem now. Mark V still has one of the best top sheets on the market… There are grippier ones but NONE of them lasts as long. The most stupid opinion is that something new must be better than...
  13. Are Tibhar Hybrid MK and Rakza 7 nearly identical?

I think not, Rakza 7 is not hard, feels like 45-46 to me. It is definitely reactive (bouncy) but not on Tenergy level. My guess is that hybrid MK feels harder, is faster but less reactive and has better grip, I have a sheet but haven’t had time to test it. Cheers L-zr
  14. Sanding your blade

First seal it with a thin layer of varnish, then rough it up ever so slightly with a sandpaper. The advantage with this is that it protects from moisture and that the top layer rips when removing the rubber. Cheers L-zr
  15. Best and fastest rubbers for a beginner

Many times gramps knows best… Cheers L-zr
  16. Best and fastest rubbers for a beginner

Considering how long Mark V lasts I don’t consider it to be expensive. However You will probably rip it it off to soon to try something else. I actually use use Mark V HPS to tame superfast blades. It is a little faster and significantly lighter than regular Mark V. Cheers L-zr
  17. Best and fastest rubbers for a beginner

But for it to make sense You should probably select something that is made close to that location and you can get cheaper. Cheers L-zr
  18. Best and fastest rubbers for a beginner

Since I know it well I use it sometimes to explore the qualities of a new blade. Right now I am gravitating towards hybrid rubbers and Glayser 09C is s step in that direction. I have Rakza Z and some others in the pipe too. Cheers L-zr
  19. Best and fastest rubbers for a beginner

Rakza 7 ( normal not soft ) has the perfect hardness. Not too soft not too hard, a jack of all trades, master of none, perfekt to develop one’s skills with . The only thing may be it’s a little fast in the beginning… If this is the case I usually recommend Mark V. Also a jack of all trades but a...
  20. Waldner in new Donic Atlas uniform in exposition action in DE...

Thanks for posting this… great looking outfit. I am playing in his club for more than a year now and I have yet to see him. I see Appelgren every other week but has never seen Waldner yet… Anyway the uniform has been kind of boring glad to see the change.. Cheers L-zr
