I don’t think so I think was just the rubber, can’t be sure though but the touch felt soft. It’s no big deal I’ll fix it, probably first by gluing the loose piece and keep playing with it until the rubber is dead and then fix it permanently. Gotta go for a training session now… Cheers L-zr

Yep, it’s not unusual I’ve seen it before. This blade is glued with hide glue and this the top of the racket so the force is along the fibers where it’s the weakest. And it’s a soft Hinoki top layer. Also the glue is effected by water during cleaning. Not really surprising when I think of it but...

If you compare a soft rubber with a hard rubber on the same blade, the relative effect on the “throw angle” is minuscule. What this means is the blade will have virtually the same effect on both rubbers regardless of hardness. Cheers L-zr

Again yes you are wrong, A softer surface (with all other parameters equal) will bounce less… The characteristics of the blade is minuscule here and besides a thin blade is not softer but has bigger trampoline effect because it bends a tiny bit. A hard surface is different from a stiff surface...

When you are hitting the ball you need a little bit more open angle with the softer rubber. Or you will hit the net. It’s not much but noticeable. Cheers L-zr

Kids have a different capability to adjust and absorb. For an adult it’s may be a bad idea even if they have a coach. In my club we usually recommend the blade Donic Appelgren all play with some slower Donic rubber or Yasaka Mark V to beginners even kids. Cheers L-zr

One thing, A soft rubber normally produce a lower throw angle than a hard rubber. This means that you will have some adjustments to do when You later change to a harder rubber. It can be a bit frustrating at the beginning but You should get adjusted in a couple of days.Cheers L-zr

I checked the Mark V GPS, It’s a softer slower version of standard Mark V. Then I think keeping Your Persson powerplay will not be a problem. You can use that combo Persson powerplay + Mark V GPS. Your natural rubber upgrade progression would be. Mark V GPS -> Mark V -> Mark V HPS -> Rakza 7 ->...

I just checked the ratings for that blade it’s alright not too fast. If You like Donic Appelgren all play is an excellent blade to begin with. Let me check the rubber too. Cheers L-zr
