  1. Slower tensor/tensor-like rubbers?

Great suggestions. I would say the Nittaku G-1 and C-1 are a big step above the first 5 rubbers you mention in terms of speed and can be hard to control especially on a hard blade.
  2. Slower tensor/tensor-like rubbers?

That's all very true and excellent advise. I give equipment a fair amount of time when testing before keeping or dismissing, I also do my testing during the off-season. You don't get to do that with someone's else's equipment of course, and you need to have a fair amount of experience and...
  3. Slower tensor/tensor-like rubbers?

    <style type="text/css">p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica}p.p2 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; min-height: 14.0px}</style>I said try not buy. I agree that it’s best and necessary to stick to something good enough for 1-2 years at a time...
  4. Slower tensor/tensor-like rubbers?

R37 might indeed be a huge step down for you from R47, much softer and slower. Even a 40 deg sponge is quite slow whereas at 42-43 deg, it starts feeling hard (at least to me), so R42 might be good for you. I also think darkmoor1's suggestion of sticking to R47 with a thinner sponge, say 2.0 or...
  5. Slower tensor/tensor-like rubbers?

If you like R47 but think it's too fast, why not go for the R42 or Vega Europe? If you find those to be too soft, then a 45 deg rubber like Rozena. Vega Pro and Rakza 7 are also good ones at 47.5 deg. It's important to keep in mind all the elements of a rubber/sponge/effects Der_Echte...
  6. Which OFF/OFF+ blades are your favorite for touch play?

Makes sense! Interesting comp. I can see how this blade would have a better touch than the hard Infinity.
  7. Which OFF/OFF+ blades are your favorite for touch play?

My choice: Butterfly Innerforce blades with ALC or ZLC. Feel like a 5-ply all-wood blade in every aspect of the game, except they give you that extra kick when you really engage the ball in a fast drive or spinny loop. The short game is ever so important, you want to keep your opponent from...
  8. Apex Blades, New Brand!

Thank you very much for the great reviews! I'm looking forward to their website so I can order the OFF version.
  9. does anyone know the head size of stiga azalea offensive?

Hi, I couldn't find the Stiga Azalea's headsize, but when playing it, it really seems like a 157 x 150 mm compared to noticeably larger blades like the Korbel JP, Harimoto, Liu Shiwen ZLF, all 158 x 152 mm which I'm getting quite used to. I'd write Stiga an email and ask if you really want to...
  10. US Open December 2019

Haha, now I'm going to be looking for this vid! I registered for this year's LA Open in the off-chance that I'll have time to travel at the end of the month, but I'll most likely have to withdraw. But if I do make it to LA, I'll come holler at you. Otherwise my backup plan will be to attend the...
  11. Apex Blades, New Brand!

I like the look of them. Tell us what you think and review them if you can, especially the OFF blade, what's the comp, thickness...?
  12. US Open December 2019

I have and it's true! At the LA Open a few years back (the last year it was Butterfly-sponsored). Only I didn't know your profile back then. Or else I would have come say hi. I figure you'll be in Texas for this one too.
  13. US Open December 2019

    Der_Etche is already there! :)
  14. FS - Butterfly Boll Tricarbon ST

That's very expensive for a blade that's not even Made in Japan, even if over 10 years old. Also, the handle pictured is not ST, it's AN.
  15. LF All Wood Blade like Korbel but with smaller head size

Less feeling / control yes, but not necessarily less dwell, especially since it has a larger head, so larger sweet spot and plenty flex still. I think the Korbel has one of the best ratios of control / speed. Also, if you get a chance to buy a Korbel Japan, it feels much nicer than the...
  16. LF All Wood Blade like Korbel but with smaller head size

The Korbel (OFF-) is quite a bit faster, and a bit harder and direct than the Primorac which feels soft and more like an ALL+.
  17. Best wood feeling carbon blade

I'll also mention the DHS Hurricane Long 5 which is an inner ALC with limba outer, and the new Victas ZX-Gear In and Gear Out..
  18. Whats your choise and why???

Maybe for you but you're not OP.
  19. Why is zhang jike alc not so popular or used?

Ah too big for me, but you're right, they should give handle size options for their most popular blades! You probably have the same problem with DHS and many other companies. You're good with Tibhar handles?
  20. Rubbers for innerforce t5000

Kreanga also. Gergely and Klampar of course, but they didn't have much of a choice of other carbon types at the time. At least this is Innerforce and not outer.
