Hey Hey, I played before Waldner became great and for sure we didn't use orange ball and had no bicycle rubber. 😁 Seriously, the rubbers and blades is not much different today, just the material and size of the ball... There was even Chinese and tacky rubbers back then, I used to play with super...
  6. Better to get Butterfly?

The sollution is simple, dont boost. BTW, One of the guys in our club has more power and spin with his old (at least 10 yrs) rancid rack than with his new ones, an I tell You there some real power and spin here. I beleive that rubbers lasts a lot longer than being given credit for. Cheers L-zrt

  9. Dignics 09c in cold weather

That was quite an exaggeration... Sorry still don't believe this, 10 Celsius sound like Your mates tool shed... Only footballers (soccer players) needs to cope with these conditions. Even at 15 is cold for a "regional competition". I would say ~17 is acceptable, nothing colder. If the hall is...

  15. Setup suggestion/Technique Problem ?

Your first topspin is often in then your second is often out. When you counter topspin you need to have a closed racket and hit a bit flatter than when you topspin an backspin or slow ball.
  16. Setup suggestion/Technique Problem ?

I have to commend You on the videos. Its just about the best I have seen as a description of oneself, well done. I see nothing outdated about this blade. I think it is what is called innerforce (carbon in Your case fiberglass close to the core). A good setup would be something not too fast...
  17. Rubber thickness? Modern rubbers, beginner.

About Mark V, Your opinion is way way off. There is no such as being adequate for an old ball but not for a new. It only about being fast or slow. For a particular player it is appropriate on a particular blade. I will try it on my Primorac Carbon next time instead of Rakza 7. The reason for...

  19. Rubber thickness? Modern rubbers, beginner.

How about Rakza 7 (I always recommend this). On that blade it will be OK, If You were any good You won't need a lot of time. I came back after quitting in 1975. A way up to a decent speed after a handful of sessions. 2.0 on both sides is fine. 1.8 is also fine and also max... B.T.W. A lot of...
