Hey Toppines, welcome to the site, it will begin in ITTF World Tour tournaments this July. Local leagues have the option of using the old or new ball in a lot of countries. I am unsure for Span what the plan is, maybe you can find out on your National Association website?

I have also heard that British League will use the celluloid ball for the first year. So for the top players playing in Prem Brit League will use celluloid and in grandprixs they will use the plastic ball. It will be interesting to see how this season plays out for players.
