  1. For Sale: DHS national equipment (rubbers and blades)

Here is my suggestion. Lock this thread. Let Chen Chen start a new one. The new thread could eliminate the claim that this stuff for sale is from the personal stocks of these iconic players. (A frzh thread would be good for everyone). OR if Chen Chen wants to continue that claim the first...
  2. For Sale: DHS national equipment (rubbers and blades)

And yet I really wonder if you should lrt him continue to make his most extraordinary claim: that these rubbers are somehow diverted from the stocks intended for ML, ZJK, and FZD!! He could call it National and specify hardness without a problem. But you say that was never the point? Why...
  3. For Sale: DHS national equipment (rubbers and blades)

Let's go back to page 1 of this long thread. It says "For Sale: DHS national equipment (rubbers and blades)" and then "Zhangjike,Malong and Fanzhendong personal hurricane 3 rubbers are available". I am sitting here thinking, how in the world would something like that be verifiable by...
  4. For Sale: DHS national equipment (rubbers and blades)

I am the moderator at MyTT for the For Sale section. Giangt and I cooperate often, and in fact he adopted many of the rules here that we have had over there for many years. As mods, our biggest job is to protect members. At a point, a lot of fake stuff was getting sold at MyTT and I took...
  5. What non-Butterfly blade is most similar to Viscaria

Very little difference at all in the ones I had. Handle shape is slightly different. I am not some sort of professional blade tester, but I have played with Viscaria since around 2007 and I have owned a bunch of them. Too many!! At one point I acquired them for stupid reasons. DTC is the...
  6. What non-Butterfly blade is most similar to Viscaria

I own the Donic True Carbon and many Viscaria blades. Very close.
  7. For Sale: DHS national equipment (rubbers and blades)

It ssems like you need a PhD to keep up with all the DHS variations.
  8. Prott.vip

TT11 has both those blades for just a few bucks more than prott.vip. And since they are an authorized DHS dealer, you know you would not be getting a fake, and you would receive it sooner. Also, the price difference is less significant when you factor in shipping costs. Anyway, something to...
  9. Prott.vip

I don't trust them. I very strongly suspect they prey on people who want to believe they have just bought something special. Why would you pay $180 for a Viscaria (and they don't even claim magical properties for it)? Or $500 for a "special" Clipper that must be truly magical at that price...
  10. Slow down a blade or speed up the rubbers?

Third option, get medium in both blade and rubber. Something like Buttsrfly Korbel with Barracuda.
  11. table tennis tips "Increase Spin in table tennis by Chinese coaching"

I like the third ball attack video a lot. Something Li Kewei has emphasized to me a lot is that how you move and reset immediately after the serve is so important that it has to be considered part of the service motion itself.
  12. table tennis tips "Increase Spin in table tennis by Chinese coaching"

Something Coach Li Kewei sometimes tells me, "who do you think you are, Ma Long?". Then he shakes his head. It is good to imitate top pros in some things. I think, though, you need to be careful which pros you pick to copy, and what things they do. If you are 6'2", maybe you don't want to...
  13. Dimitrij Ovtcharov happy with the new DHS ABS ball!

Not after the companies have invested that much into developing and producing these new plastic balls. What, now they are going to be told, "sorry, false alarm"?? Actually the concern about celluloid production was legitimate. It is a dangerous material, there were deadly fires in...
  14. table tennis tips "Increase Spin in table tennis by Chinese coaching"

Well maybe -- if you are in your 20s. Although I wouldn't tell that to Ovtcharov. Or Kong Linghui. Or FZD. Once you reach past your mid 30s, and especially in middle age, unless you are some kind of athletically preserved freak, like the NBA player Vince Carter, this is really bad advice...
  15. Dimitrij Ovtcharov unhappy with new ITTF World Ranking system!

Very interesting. I had never thought about how well rankings predict results, but if not that, what is their purpose? That is not a rhetorical question, I actually wonder what the true purpose of a ranking is. I had never really thought about it before. I think that players should have to...
  16. Fastest blade in the world

I haven't tried every blade made, but the fastest I have tried are the Xiom Axelo and the Boll Tricarbon. They are unplayable. I can say for a fact that the Axelo is faster than a Schlager Carbon.
  17. Dimitrij Ovtcharov happy with the new DHS ABS ball!

Never. Easy answer. The reason is the slightly larger diameter (and with it the weight) of the 40+ ball compared to celluloid. It is just the physics of the thing. And you are right, it has definitely made it a lot easier to attack even very short serves, especially with the newest plastic...
  18. Dimitrij Ovtcharov happy with the new DHS ABS ball!

Arch, that is a really good point. Balls can become unplayable without breaking if they get too smooth (G40+ are too smooth from the start), or dented, or out of round. And this D40+ ball is a complete game changer on that front, even compared to seamless balls. It's not just that it doesn't...
  19. Dimitrij Ovtcharov happy with the new DHS ABS ball!

I haven't seen Niraj in quite awhile but yes, Coach Li and Viktor think it's a really good ball (as do every other single human at my club who has tried them). For those who don't know, Li Kewai is a modern defender (pretty much a clone of JSH) who was around 2750 when he first arrived in the...
  20. Dimitrij Ovtcharov happy with the new DHS ABS ball!

Some other things about this ball. It it pretty much unbreakable. It is 2.76 grams (0.08 g heavier than Nittaku, about same as seamless). Otherwise plays like a Nittaku, since made of same material. Dusty. Very inexpensive. Very round. Bounce height identical to celluloid and Nittaku...
