  1. Fantastic foam brush for gluing rubber

Maybe but not when you write it.
  2. Fan Zhendong equipment

In that last picture, is that a composite layer or dark wood? To me it looks like a composite but I am not absolutely certain of it.
  3. Fantastic foam brush for gluing rubber

How could he not understand it? You guys seem pretty much the same to everybody else. ;) http://video.search.yahoo.com/video/play;_ylt=A2KLqIH2gA1WcA8Au28snIlQ;_ylu=X3oDMTByZW...
  4. Fantastic foam brush for gluing rubber

    Wellm almost nothing anyway.
  5. Fantastic foam brush for gluing rubber

You get 48 of these foam brushes for $10. That is a little more than 20 cents apiece!! Put this in context. Last time I changed rubber, I paid $130 for two sheets of Tenergy which I then put onto a fairly expensive composite blade. Frankly, given the price of modern rubbers, as long as I...
  6. tibhar evolution mx-p and tenergy with poly balls

The rubber seems to interact with the balls the same way. All polyballs play a little differently from celluloid. I think the new balls cause faster wear on all rubber.
  7. Fantastic foam brush for gluing rubber

You can buy these things at Home Depot or on Amazon. They are awesome. They are cheap. About $10 for a case of 48. You don't get glue on your fingers and the handle on the brush gives you a lot of control, more than you ever get with the clips. Also the shape of the sponge gives a really...
  8. Crazy Sale Clipper Liu Guoliang, rare Cresail ST & Allure Tamca

finspin, you are right magic_m did get his blade---eventually. People can click on the link to see what all happened before he managed to receive it, and how he felt about. It is a long thread. I have not said anything in my post above that is not true. I noted on my comment above that you...
  9. Totally frustrated and fed up!!!!!!

One other thing is that nobody is so superhuman that they don't occasionally feel frustrated and despondent about how they play. I see that with everybody I know who plays, including some essentially professional players (or as close as there is to that in the US). Along with the plateaus...
  10. Totally frustrated and fed up!!!!!!

You will always hit plateaus. You may even regress a bit before getting better. Limitations based on physical issues like injuries are especially frustrating, though. Really, just remember, it is fun to hit the ball. It really is as simple as that.
  11. Crazy Sale Clipper Liu Guoliang, rare Cresail ST & Allure Tamca

SOme advice I would give would be to never use the gift option for Paypal (family and friends). Seller can add the paypal fee to the price but should probably not insist on gift. Seller should insure the package if possible. Be careful with international deliveries, customs can be a problem...
  12. Crazy Sale Clipper Liu Guoliang, rare Cresail ST & Allure Tamca

People who buy and sell used blades might want to know that this guy was banned at MyTT for not always being honest in selling blades. See the thread linked below. The quick summary is that he once sold a very expensive blade to a member (actually a different Cresail blade), received payment...
  13. Mindfulness & table tennis

Table tennis is zen. Read the advice given by zen monk Takuan Soho to a swordsman (Musashi) in The Unfettered Mind and you can apply all of it to table tennis. Actually this book increased my pleasure in just playing the game so much, just enjoying the moment, that sometimes now I don't even...
  14. Butterfly just increased prices of the equipment

In this case, though, the stuff was shipped to me by Go Table Tennis. I don't know what their relationship is to Butterfly NA, though. Actually it is not the first time Megaspin has delayed changing prices or goofed up. Once (within the last year) I bought two sheets of Tenergy at a crazy low...
  15. Butterfly just increased prices of the equipment

Who sets the prices for each country? Is this coordinated in Japan? I think it has to be because I noticed that the price increase on Butterfly NA site increased several days before Megaspin. I bought two sheets from Megaspin at the old price on September 23, total price about $135 for the two...
  16. Learn the Reverse Pendulum Backspin serve. It has helped me a lot!

Actually I just stopped hitting that serve over a year ago and the pain is gone, but now I am not going to try it again. The best way to prevent a repetitive use injury is to stop the use that is causing the injury. Other shots and serves are not a problem for me (at least in the wrist), just...
  17. Learn the Reverse Pendulum Backspin serve. It has helped me a lot!

I got to where I could use RPS pretty well, vary the spin, and fool the returner and even have confidence that I could execute it pretty much at will -- and then started getting all sorts of wrist pain from it (so I must have been doing something wrong but the pain keeps me from learning a more...
  18. Waldner or Ma Long?

I think people really don't watch WLQ enough in his prime and I feel like he is really under-appreciated. There was a lot more to him than just power on one side! I need to add that at this point I am not convinced that Ma Long has necessarily accomplished more than Kong Linghui (who was the...
  19. Rubbers For a Timo Boll Spirit

EL-P is really really good, personally I prefer it to MX-P (both are very good on a Viscaria, a very similar blade). FX-P is just too soft. But if you are feeling rich, there is still nothing quite like Tenergy 05 on a Butterfly ALC blade like a TBS. Really nothing can top that. Of course...
  20. Foam /Protective edge tape?

Buy gaffer's tape from Amazon, you can get it in that thickness, any color you want, it is very protective for TT blades, it adheres well and leaves no residue behind when you remove it. It is used in theaters to make marks on the floor, among other things. It is cheaper and better than any...
