Best showing from Hirano against CXT since 2019. Best chance to win against an under-prepared CXT who hid her serves only in the endgame. Harimoto and Hirano have earned the silver medal at a minimum. Ito still has to work harder, if possible.

Putting everything in that game and still not getting it sealed her fate. Simply no way to escape from tactics that hard-counter the weakness of her game.

Ito can't win like this. Her stamina can't support her FH step-around receiving (her pips get shut down by the long serve) like it did from mid-2018 to early 2020.
