  1. Victas Triple Double Extra & Triple Extra Rubbers

I’ve played for 6 weeks. Tack has gone done by half. But still tackier than a new 09C. It’s still very decent.
  2. Why single-ply hinoki not popular in plastic ball era

10mm hinoki is very very bouncy. I am using Baracuda which half tacky tensor. Control is much better than T05 that I used before. I suggest you giving it a go. Baracuda’s spin is comparable to H3, is light and has decent speed.
  3. Why single-ply hinoki not popular in plastic ball era

Nice Gozo!! Hinoki feeling is just amazing!! I have used many rubbers on my ages DS90, mine is Jpen though. For sh you want to minimise the total thickness. Are you going to stay close to table as a hitter? Are you playing looping games in mid to far distance?
  4. Wood blades

If you have the money, buy Acoustic or Virtuoso. Glue D05 on both sides and you can create insane spin without losing speed. Budget setup: Stiga Celero + Vega pro on both sides.
  5. I'm a relatively new penhold player (reverse Chinese grip) looking for a nice setup.

Nobody plays rpb than Wang Hao. His instructions on this video is the gold standard of rpb. https://youtu.be/mrrIDgT6TnY
  6. Let rules

That’s a good question!! I will wait for someone to enlighten me. On a side note, if someone serves and my hit went straight to the net because the ball is soaking wet, can I call a let?
  7. Blade size for RPB

Cpen blade is larger than the equivalent SH blade. They’ve already taken it into consideration.
  8. Just curious how many Penholders are on TTD?

I haven’t used G1 but heard a lot of positive reviews. By coincidence, I am using baracuda on my Darker Speed 90. I guarantee the speed is more than enough for plastic ball. I also love baracuda that it’s half tacky. It helps the short game.
  9. tired of this feeling

Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive is good. At 6mm thickness and a hard top ply it can support the hard TG2. It is still fast enough in the plastic era. If you have the money, and prefer all wood blade, go straight to Intensity NCT, pick a weight around 88g if SH, 85g if PH.

He's turning 21 this year, for this age I think he's doing pretty well. LGY turning 26 this year. He still choked a lot a few years ago.
  11. Boosted skyline tg2 neo

Ops sorry. I agree with waiting for a few days. I forgot to mention that. Or you have to put the whole Earth on the blade to make it stick to the blade.
  12. tired of this feeling

I think you are experiencing the non-linearity of the setup. Hao blade was made in the early 2000s. It is very thin and extremely flexible. When you put in a little effort, it hits the net. When you put in moderate effort, it might land on the table. When you put in a little bit more effort it...
  13. Victas Triple Double Extra review

Stage 2 - after applying 3 layers of Haifu Seamoon oil First impression TDE curled up quite significantly. It responds to booster quite well. TDE feels slightly, only slightly softer. Service It feels very much the same as before boosting. You can serve very spinny short serves. The ball goes...
  14. O9C Durability

My 09C still feels like new after 3 months. There are many cheaper alternatives. I always recomm Victas Triple double extra. Its spin is insane, control is decent and after about 6 weeks the tack has decreased to the level of H3. At that point the speed is equivalent to a tensor.
  15. Balls!

Look for balls with seam. Seamed balls have more spin and feel “heavier” on impact.
  16. Macau 2022

WCQ could finally get his temper under control. He has incredible physiques and talents. He will shine if he continues to mature. I also like his style, more the old school type. He pivots and uses Fh more than many younger players.
  17. Boosted skyline tg2 neo

What is the hardness of the sponge? You can order specific sponge hardness even for the commercial Neo TG2. It does look destroyed. It should not curl to this extent. Glue and play it regardless and see how it performs. Who knows it might surprise you [emoji16]
  18. Just curious how many Penholders are on TTD?

It will also depends on the topsheet. For example R53 feels softer than MXP (48 degree) I agree Jpen goes better with soft rubber because you really want to feel the nice hinoki.

Take a look this guy https://youtu.be/hMGJCctFoyk
  20. Macau 2022

It will be difficult. Look at WCQ's performance. He plays like a wall. There's literally no weakness. WCQ can counter from both BH and FH in any distance from any angle.
