Short game is never Jpen's strength. You have to condition your mind to deal with those blocks. Maybe long serve might help to open up the game in your favour? Maybe give him the opportunity to open up the game, and you counter attack?

Wow eye opening. Didn't know the differences are that significant. That probably explain why the feel is way better with older OC. I am just afraid to purchase a new Stiga OC that might turn out hollow again. I have had really bad experience with Stiga until Hans Asler OC.

Taksim was a disappointment. Probably the thicker core makes the hand feel quite numb compared to a thinner ZJK ALC.

I have played both in penhold though. Taksim (Viscaria in penhold) feels faster with less feedback. ZJK ALC although feels more crisp, but has better feedback than Taksim.
