  1. Recommended Gym Workouts for Table Tennis

I have been doing TT-specific gym exercise for about a year. The best exercises are: 1- resistant band. Practice FH and BH strokes with resistant band. It helps recovery time. 15 strokes x 3 for FH. Repeat for BH. 2- leg push. It helps footwork. It also helps power loop as it strengthens your...
  2. DHS National rubber authenticity?

Sorry I am quite sure this is fake. I have bought provincial and national rubbers. The national H3 with white package is what I am using right now. I know exactly what it should look. Passionate about TT
  3. European Players & Tacky Rubbers

Provincial and national Hurricane are widely accessible nowadays. TT11 has them all. Authentic products as TT11 is an DHS authorized seller. Passionate about TT
  4. European Players & Tacky Rubbers

It's very unlikely. I started training at the age of 10 in China. Every child used Hurricane type rubber on FH. Some used tacky rubber on BH. That puts a lot of demand on training which later results in stronger stroke. In terms of recovery, check out Xu Xin's games before 2015. He uses big...

  7. Tibhar grip-s or grip-s europe

DHS H3 national blue sponge white package. Get a 40 hardness for $60. it has one of the best spin and control. Very durable the tackiness and powet can last at least 150hrs of play. But it requires boosting. Mine is still playing wonderfully after 1.5yrs. If you don't want boosting get a Neo...
  8. China Super League 2017

Wow LJK is on fire. Huge improvement. First beat ML then XX. XX could not put any pressure on LJK at all. His BH-dominated game really kills any looper. I guess in the future all pro will be close to table BH-dominated style. Passionate about TT
  9. optimal weight for penhold?

I have played H3 on both sides for a while. Weight ~183g. When using RPB i make sure I minimize the wrist use (apart from banana flick ofc). In fact the weight will be adding momentum to your stroke once you get used to it. Passionate about TT

  12. Reaction test machine for practice

Interesting. https://youtu.be/vOMzE5QRU_A If you look at 0:28 Wang Liqin was doing a reaction training. I think it will definitely help. But modelling the TT movement like in the video would be better. Passionate about TT
  13. Xu Xin's Equipment

Yes I guess so too. In XX's recent games we see shorter trajectory of FH loop and significant improved control of BH. All sounds like a wooden blade. I wonder if it is a thin 7-ply. Passionate about TT
  14. China Super League 2017

It seems XX loop trajectory is shorter and BH control is improved compared to when he used N301. I wonder if he changed back to an all-wood blade again. Passionate about TT

  16. China Super League 2017

I agree. I see that pattern too. But i also have to admit that XX was doing a lot more banana flicks. The success rate was also higher than usual. That's something XX has been working on. What's XX's new blade by the way? Does anyone know? Passionate about TT
  17. Chinese Pro Equipment - Rubbers and Blades

Interesting. I feel the opposite. The TG2 BS is quite hard after 3 layers of Seamoon. Definitely harder than H3 BS. Hence I find it hard to loop with TG2. On the flip side, TG2 has lower arc and longer trajectory than H3. Loops with TG2 could be harder to return. Passionate about TT
  18. Chinese Pro Equipment - Rubbers and Blades

Thanks for the comment. Very helpful. No wonder TG2 is so good at short game. This is only my first time using TG2 BS after years of using H3 national/provincial. I only tried it because I admire Xu Xin's FH loop. But it turns out to be fairly hard to generate power far from the table...
  19. Chinese Pro Equipment - Rubbers and Blades

I have boosted my TG2 blue sponge with 3 layers of booster. The sponge is softer, but still pretty hard compared to booster H3 blue sponge. It feels hard to unleash the power. But I bought the training version of TG2 for $70. The proper national version is $80 not sure if that makes any...
  20. Hungarian Open 2018

Unfortunately Xue Fei suffers the same symptoms as Wang Hao, predictable BH-oriented game with little surprise. Especially when FZD played FH to FH you can see Xue Fei's weak FH. Passionate about TT
