  1. Just curious how many Penholders are on TTD?

Wow expensive blade. I have heard a lot of good words about Hao 3. TG3 is a great rubber. Bear in mind the "Neo" only gives a little bit of booster effect. Therefore the sponge can still feels quite dead and hard. I do at least 3 layers of oil booster to my Neo Hurricane. Just see how it goes.
  2. Modern game too repetitive?

Do you think the mod*ern table tennis game is becoming more and more homogenous?* What do I mean by ho*mogenous? You serve, within seconds some*one does a BH flick. It then kicks start a BH-to-BH fast ral*ly. The rest of the game goes similarly. This is especially common among the CNT SH grip...
  3. Changes in strokes on using a tacky rubber

After trying so many rubbers T05, MXP, Rakza, Donic F1, Bluefire J02, TG2, TG3 and Hurricane series. I am able to give a bit of advice. Chinese tacky rubbers traditionally pair best with 5-ply blade. You can still use hard 5-ply blade witb Hurricane 8 for the plastic ball. The idea is that...
  4. Just curious how many Penholders are on TTD?

Beautiful blade. Very different look from the pale white Japanese hinoki.
  5. Chinese Trials for World Championships 2017

He is not. LGL critized XX's attitude. XX easily gets distracted and try new things during a game. That explains why he's called "the artist" in table tennis. But at the same time he lost his last game against LGY because he lost focus and played new things while leading 9-6. XX is more...
  6. Xu Xin's Backhand

Interestingly that's how Deng Yaping was trained when she was young. Her dad peeled off her BH rubber. Therefore she could only use her FH. It was a footwork training. Ofc XX has crazy footwork to allow his FH to shine
  7. Xu Xin's Backhand

During some matches i heard Chinese commentator said XX is in an awkward position: His RPB is not as powerful as Wang Hao's His FH BH switch is not as quick as Wang Hao His serve, short game and service return is not as fine as Ma Lin His 3rd ball attack is not as good or powerful as Ma Lin...
  8. Just curious how many Penholders are on TTD?

XX's footwork was faster back then. But i feel like he stayed closer to the table back then with faster ball speed. I can't understand why he tends to step away from the table now with a slower ball. I also notice his RPB was so consistent (look at 4:10).

  10. Chinese Trials for World Championships 2017

I am XX fan but have to say LGY has that desperate look in his eyes (similar to RSM). You can see LGY will just give all he has in stage 2 as he doesn't have the mental burden of the top 4. He is very aggressive and dangerous.
  11. Chinese Trials for World Championships 2017

Unfortunately the plastic ball force the new players to play like that.
  12. Chinese Trials for World Championships 2017

Xue Fei had a chance to be famous during the junior championship final. But again his inconsistency of BH was exposed, same as XX. Xue Fei's powerful FH loop just can't make up for a lack of BH. Who knows. Wang Hao in 2004 had very weak BH too that was partially why he lost to RSM. So Xue Fei...
  13. Just curious how many Penholders are on TTD?

I always want to try that too. But i read a Chinese forum skyline 3-60 has better control than H3-50. Unfortunately the new plastic ball is killing the spin oriented players like ML and XX. Players like FZD and LGY stay close to the table and hit hard to score points. So they use non tacky BH...
  14. Chinese Trials for World Championships 2017

I have been wondering why XX did not change to a acrylate carbon blade and adopted closer to table aggressive style. XX's power is enormous given he's producing those powerful shots with a 5-ply.

http://m.live.qq.com/10002420 Been watching for 3 days. Can get busy when Chinese get off work in a few hours. Currently only 45000 viewers. Last night XX vs LGY attracted far morw viewers and it was slow. Sent from my ONE E1003 using Tapatalk
  16. Chinese Trials for World Championships 2017

Yeah i thought it was a joke. but light's back on. LGY plays similar to FZD. Or maybe it's just a general trend of the new generation. They all stand close to table and hit really hard. ML has a very tough game.
  17. Chinese Trials for World Championships 2017

XX lost. Again spin lost to hard hitter. Is it the trend of the day? ML lost to FZD in the same pattern too. Does the plastic ball reduce spin to more extent than speed? Is that why close to table hard hitter is making a comeback? Sent from my ONE E1003 using Tapatalk
  18. Chinese Trials for World Championships 2017

It was a great game. ML lost due to FZD's aggressive style. Probably 70% of the time FZD flicked first. FZD'S BH is amazingly precise given how powerful it is. ML plays spin, FZD plays close to table hitting. I guess speed won over spin this time. Sent from my ONE E1003 using Tapatalk

FB lost again. Poor guy. Sent from my ONE E1003 using Tapatalk
  20. Chinese Trials for World Championships 2017

FB lost first game against FZD. FB is still passive in the 2nd game. He doesn't seem to have the spirit two years ago in WTTC anyone. Sent from my ONE E1003 using Tapatalk
