  1. Xu Fei, the future of penhold

What is missing in Wang Hao, Xu Xin, Wong Chun Ting and Xue fei is the amazing short game tactic of Ma Lin. In terms of power and BH, Ma Lin is the weakest among them. Yet Ma Lin was able to beat Wang Hao multiple times due to his smart short game and unpredictable tactic. What we need in the...
  2. How long last H3 Neo Provincial + cleaner

I use water to clean and put cellotape on it rather than protective sheet. No trace of glue on rubber. My rubber is like new after 2 months. Tackiness still at 98%. Sent from my ONE E1003 using Tapatalk
  3. FH rubber for one-ply hinoki

I have played with H3-50 on FH for about 2hrs. As compared to R7 soft: More spiny serve Shorter return Easier to lift back spin Less power close to table (hinoki power not yet kicked in with slower stroke) More deadly loop mid or far from table once the hinoki kicks in. More power when...
  4. FH rubber for one-ply hinoki

I agree with you. Everyone's preference is different. I have seen people using very hard rubber on very hard blade and still can play well. My style is looping, so I prefer soft rubber on hinoki. My current rubber R7 softhas hardness of 42, equivalent to DHS 37 degree. So I have ordered a...
  5. FH rubber for one-ply hinoki

I have tried T80 and R7 soft on my Darker 90. T80 only bottoms out when looping very hard. Not much feel or feedback. Although fast but accuracy is low. In contrast R7 soft bottoms out easily = lots of control and confidence. The speed and spin are still huge as I have enough strength due to...
  6. FH rubber for one-ply hinoki

Do you think Spin Art comes in different sponge hardness? I have tried T80 1.9mm. Pretty hard to bottom out on my Darker Speed 90. In contrast T05 FX bottoms out easily. If Spin Art comes in a softer sponge I might try it.
  7. FH rubber for one-ply hinoki

I have tried Sanwei Target Nation BS. It's very controllable but the ball can skid on it. So spin is not great. Sponge might still be too hard to bottom out on hinoki. For the same price we can get a neo H3 prov.
  8. FH rubber for one-ply hinoki

Alternative?? Maybe Hurricane 3-50? Hurricane 3 provincial 37 degree apparently very soft. Or Skyline 3-60? Sent from my ONE E1003 using Tapatalk
  9. FH rubber for one-ply hinoki

Absolutely amazing play. I have never seen this combination can be that powerful. Given his body shape he has pretty amazing foot work. But SpinArt is even more expensive than H3 provincial. I think you can get H3 provincial in 37 hardness so it might go well with a single ply hinoki. Sent...
  10. FH rubber for one-ply hinoki

I just haven't tried H3 on sing ply hinoki Sent from my ONE E1003 using Tapatalk
  11. FH rubber for one-ply hinoki

I've been a penholder for a few years. My main setup is a JPen Darker Speed 90 10mm with Yasaka R7 soft on FH and Friendship Snipe 3 on BH. I am a two wing looper. R7 soft bottoms out easily to allow hinoki to shine. I have no problem looping far form table. Due to the softness of the rubber...
  12. Help me choose a nice Jpen.

Darker Speed 90 if you can still get one. Sent from my ONE E1003 using Tapatalk
  13. Need help for Jpen rubber.

Rakza 7 soft gives you the best control yet still fast far from table. Rakza 7 uses a natural rubber topsheet so it's soft and easy to use. That's my setup on a Darker Speed 90. Sent from my ONE E1003 using Tapatalk

  17. Around penhold grip

Zhou Xitong plays in the CNT. One sided penhold. A rare find. Watch how she plays Sent from my ONE E1003 using Tapatalk
  18. Set Handle

You know yourself best!! Given your height and age you can play penhold like Xu Xin. CPen will give you loads of benefits such as flexible short game, deceptive serve, powerful top/side spin loop etc. But great footwork is the foundation of a penholder. Watch Xu Xin 's play and see if you...
  19. Adhesive vs non-adhesive protection film

For tacky rubber, I use cellaptape. Keep my hurricane tacky all the time. And it's cheap Sent from my ONE E1003 using Tapatalk
  20. Change in equipment

Traditional carbon provides hard feel. ALC is flexible carbon, provides hardness but not losing too much feeling. Because ALC is flexible it gives more dwell time than old school carbon. Good for plastic balls. Some premium all wood blades are just as good such as Nittaku Violin, Stiga...
