  1. Zyre 03 Rubber Review with Dimitrij Ovtcharov!

While I mentioned this in another theead already, it is a bit weird to respond to a post 8 months later as if I was wrong and not consider the possibility that Fan changed his mind.
  2. ETTU Champions League Men 2025/26

On Felix and Alexis beating Fan 3-0? Zyre 03 is soon going be renamed Zyre 0-3 (the score you get when you play with it).

  8. ETTU Champions League Men 2025/26

The rumor based on photos is that FZD had Zyre 03 or Zeed 03 on forehand. Maybe he is making @Gozo Zyreruna proud.
  9. NO MORE HIDDEN TOSS. Give a try to the updated service rule.

Those serves are often already illegal using current rules but no one enforces them anyways.
  10. NO MORE HIDDEN TOSS. Give a try to the updated service rule.

The game was really ugly when we had hidden serves, don't watch highlights, watch whole matches. Unless you believe the new balls are sufficient compensation (I do not, but I am open to being convinced) in rewarding the returner, it would be a major step backwards.

The final is Montpellier vs Saarbrucken. Will be really exciting. Going to be up and about for that one. Felix vs Franziska, Fan vs Alexis, Truls vs Thakkar. They might move Truls to the #2 and assume that anyone eill beat Thakkar. Or they could play Darko. Whatever happens i am there for it.

The Montpellier/Duesseldorf match is about to start live on tabletennis.tv if you are a subscriber. (for now, I won't discuss the other options which obviously should work as well).

First plastic balls. The ABS balls have always been good. Yes the Xu Shaofa were seamless and sometimes had cracks on racket edged hits but they were the best balls. The cellulose acetate deformed and cracked quickly and were legit bad. Nittaku had the first seamed ABS ball. And then once...

Any paper written before 2017 tests a ball bn no longer in use. DHS had its first ABS ball out then and since then ABS balls have been the standard. There are subtle differences and I personally hate the Nittaku balls that are dominant in the US (I play better with just about every other ball as...

Heavy spin is still threatening but the athletic component is much higher and the spin build up is also requires more athleticism. Even speed has issues as well as the ball tends to slow down when it goes off the table, in a worse way if you use the traditional topspin arc so many balls sit if...

Tenergy 19 was after the Dignics era, 05H before . No free lunches unfortunately. I really liked Tenergy 19 because of thr tight arcs and high dwell. Not as explosive as T05 and not as quick a release for people who like that feeling, but the dwell time feels good and gives a feeling of more...

Nimes/Montpellier with the Lebruns definite can, even if they will need some breaks.

You really should try a softer and less sticky rubber like D80 or D05, not because it is necessary but because people underestimate the speed benefit. You do seem like the kind of person who might play best with D09c given your game, but again, these are all trade offs, and as you play better...

The power of D80 is that you can do everything and it has a relatively low trajectory vs the D05 which gives people less time when you drive even though the spin is not as heavy so there is a confidence limit. But if Mizutani could play with it, then the limit can't be that bad right? I'm...
