  1. Xiom An JaeHyun TMXi blades + Jykell & Hyde Z/H review

TMXi and HAL, speed wise, are actually quite similar. also control. the feel and vibration are quite different, though. if TMXi is not so problematic with rubbers, I have a feeling that with HAL it has to be harder rubber. D09c pairs wonderfully with HAL, J&H, harder versions, 52.5 hardness...
  2. K3 VIP? 59 degree sponge

ah, okay, I didn't understand you correctly, ESN hybrids, not ESN in general, got it! but you have a lot of contact with K3 - is it really that bad, durability wise?
  3. Any blades still in production similar to Xiom Hugo HAL or Butterfly Moonbeam?

I totally feel you! I used to be - the blade has to be 90g or more ... but then hybrids came and rubber weight went up. the whole combo ended in 200g range, sometimes even over. lastly I played AZXi, blade 91g and whole combo was 200g. and then same rubbers on HAL, 84g, 185 total weight - and I...
  4. K3 VIP? 59 degree sponge

K3 is the most successful one? not MX-P or Yasaka 7/9? I always thought it would be one of these ... China Guang was 55 and was amazing to play with ... while it lasted. and it lasted about a month, had it for about 2 weeks on FH, then realised it amazing for BH, too and had it on BH for two...
  5. Any blades still in production similar to Xiom Hugo HAL or Butterfly Moonbeam?

haha, ok, can I send this to the importer for Slovenia? maybe I get one HAL as a token of respect for my praise of the blade. 🙈
  6. Any blades still in production similar to Xiom Hugo HAL or Butterfly Moonbeam?

I was afraid the weight would be above 195 as I was reading the reviews, but it has a relatively small head (157x152) TMXi is a little bit bigger (159x152), and AZXi is even bigger (160x152) … 😁
  7. Boosted GTX PRO

one thing I learned through the last year of testing (I prefer to call it testing, instead of EJing :P ) - there might be similarity between rubbers of the same manufacturer, but not between different ones ... I was looking for something close to D09c ... tried H8, boosted H8, H3N commercial...
  8. Any blades still in production similar to Xiom Hugo HAL or Butterfly Moonbeam?

Dignics 09c is a match made in heaven for HAL. definitely, in short time I have it, it needs to bee a rubber above 50ESN hardness, 47.5 if it is a harder feeling rubber (Vega Pro H fits the bill nicely). I have Dignics09c on FH and it is a great combo, on BH I started with Dignics05 but it is a...
  9. New Hurricane 8-80?

didn’t yet play with H8-80, only Hurricane 9 Violet.
  10. New Hurricane 8-80?

also, booster (Falco Tempo Long) doesn't do anything ... at least on Hurricane 9 Violet, which has the #80 sponge. nothing. rubber is very nice to play out of the box though, but was extremely heavy. 57g after cut to Xiom TMXi. 59g after applying booster.
  11. Victas V20 extra

I simply call it "the honeymoon period" ... :p
  12. Butterfly Zyre 03

I mean, I bought the Dignics because of the good price I got - quite some discount included. yes, I will most probably buy another one (because I realised I prefer D09c on both sides not the standard D09c/D05 combo) ... but ... two things that bother me with Zyre - price, and sponge thickness...
  13. Janibekov effect in table tennis.

you don't play table tennis a lot, do you?
  14. Any blades still in production similar to Xiom Hugo HAL or Butterfly Moonbeam?

wouldn't say it's different, just aged a bit ... layers seem to be the same. as for the handle - I have TMXi and HAL, both FL, and are quite similar in hand. both hold great. also - limba? isn't top layer Koto on HAL?
  15. Butterfly Zyre 03

    2.5 or 2.7 ... damn ... that's thick ... and to add 44 hardness ... 🤯
  16. Any blades still in production similar to Xiom Hugo HAL or Butterfly Moonbeam?

yes. on DHS #15 it even says to add more layers for more speed. 😉
  17. Any blades still in production similar to Xiom Hugo HAL or Butterfly Moonbeam?

I have 84g blade and it is really nice. I mean, official spec says 85g, if that means anything, so ...
