  1. Changing from composite to allwood

Stratus Powerwood Samsonov Force Pro Blue Edition.
  2. Problems in games

Psychological issues are the popular reason why people choke. IMO, unless you were clearly upset or nervous or having a panic attack or missing shots that you usually make in practice, the issues are overhyped. The simple way to see this is to see what happens when people practice things that...
  3. How did you decide Chinese versus Tensor rubber on FH?

For me, these things ultimately boil down to match results over a period of a month or so and what shots and possibilities are opened by the new rubber. In isolation, it is easy to overemphasize this or that (for example, I used to overemphasize my short game control with Big Dipper and...
  4. Equipment Advice (Under $100 U.S.)

BTW, the Dandoy Deal often has each rubber coming to about $30-$35 bucks, for any Evolution. Even with VAT etc. this should enter your $200 budget comfortably and have you set for a year with world class rubbers. The shipping is free.
  5. Butterfly G40+ Plastic Ball Review

When looking into the future or understanding the legal implications of a deal in a press release, your ResurrectionStone is as good as mine.
  6. Men's World Cup 2015

Carl, don't tell me that you mixed up the 2015 NA Cup with the 2014 US Nationals... This is what Jim actually won: http://www.teamusa.org/USA-Table-Tennis/Events/2015/May/15/2015-North-American-Cup
  7. Butterfly G40+ Plastic Ball Review

Butterfly in their first press release made it sound like they had an exclusivity agreement.
  8. Equipment Advice (Under $100 U.S.)

Yeah - I must be in one of those moods where anything I write must make sense even when it doesn't quite . And to be honest, without that 4 for 3 deal, I am not sure I would be using Evolution today.
  9. Equipment Advice (Under $100 U.S.)

With $200, you really should just buy new rubbers and keep the blade you currently have. Order from Dandoy their 3 for the price of 4 Evolution deal.
  10. Equipment Advice (Under $100 U.S.)

ttnpp.com has it for relatively cheap, but Mark V is overpriced rubber IMO. If you want cheap but fairly reliable stuff, your best bet is to look at this website in the US www.colestt.com He supplies most of the good Chinese stuff at a decent price. I was reluctant to recommend the site...
  11. New rubber

Are you sure you have the right blade though? How closely did you look at choosing the specific weight of the blade (heavier ones play better)? Did you ask them to boost the rubbers or not and are you sure that you made the right choice? You probably should have waited for Bryce Highspeed. ;):p
  12. Equipment advice for progressing junior

Definitely not too fast for you. Not sure about the falcon blade but the rubbers are good.
  13. Viscaria, Timo Boll Spirit Or Timo Boll ALC?

The blades are very similar other than handle choice and differences in year of creation. If they made all 3 this year, they would all be very similar.
  14. Men's World Cup 2015

The rules for 2012 had players qualifying by world ranking first with two spots per country up to the top 20 players or so based on the May 2011 world ranking list (post WTTC). Then players were sent to trials if they didn't meet this criteria. Total by any criteria is 3 and as Carl pointed...
  15. Win a signed t-shirt by Ma Long and Fan Zhendong!

I think Fan Zhendong will win the World Cup.
  16. Forehand serve base technique questions

Google "Backspin serve like a boss".
  17. Begginner rubber and should I change my blade?

When you use what your coach recommends, it is easier to hold your coach accountable by setting goals and timelines. If he is selling you the equipment, then there is a conflict of interest and I understand your reluctance and support your decision . You can get him to recommend alternatives...
  18. How did you decide Chinese versus Tensor rubber on FH?

That makes sense. IF you play mostly close to the table, Chinese rubbers can be very helpful. In some ways, they are designed to address that part of the game. I just couldn't block passively with them during matches when facing weak balls. Otherwise, I liked Big Dipper a lot and would...
  19. How did you decide Chinese versus Tensor rubber on FH?

Yes, the Chinese rubbers have less catapult and more control. Depending on what you are trying to do, that can be a good or a bad thing.
