I don't think you can make the comparison yet. Shiono came out of nowhere to win one world tour title, he beat a string of good players however none were Chinese as mentioned above and he struggled with the European style of combatting defensive players. Joo was top 10 in the world for many...

Hmmm, I promised I would try and find a clip last time and I didn't. This time I'll try and make more of an effort lol

Yesss vierertisch, I watched the highlights from the 2012 comp it looks epic. I think what makes it so awesome is that round the net shots are so much less risky and easier to execute because you have a whole table length to land them. It's like table tennis and tennis taking another step closer...

It's a matter of interpretation, what is the best mentality? Samsonov has strong composure, as does Timo Boll, they don't often get grumpy or negative in their matches. Schlager is very analytical and tactically focused. Kreanga and Tokic have very good 'attacking' mentalities. Primorac is very...

Why would Zhang Jike be scared of Ma Long? For a start he knows if he plays well he can win that match, even if Ma Long has a better record and secondly ZJK knows that Ma Long's performances at major events have been shakey, so he hasn't even had to play him the last 3 times. I don't think Zhang...

Yes for dresses. Ding Ning looked great in her dress at the Chicago Intl. TT Festival last year. I think the dress she is wearing in the pics above is not so flattering, if they had the right dresses then they would look much better and much more feminine!

That one is great because it looks so confidently effortless. There is another one I will find if I have the time in the next few days

Agree, China know that they dominate the sport already, they do try and limit the number of players exposed to international competition with very strict conditions so I don't think they would let it happen BUT it is possible, they have the players to probably dominate 50% or more of the top 100...

Happy Birthday boss, keep it real :P

I was playing doubles in the mens semifinal of a tournament last year, we were losing 2-0. I got played out really wide on my forehand and hooked the ball back from nearly off the floor by the umpire stand. My partner got pushed out wide next to me and the next ball got soft blocked down the...

If you want your blog to grow more I would suggest making more than one post a month, when I started mine I used to post something every 1-2 days :D

Wow that crept up, I wasn't keeping an eye on it. 10,000. Reaoooowww. Congrats Dan ;)

Hi Guys. I went to Schwechat in June and caught up with Chris and Joachim which was really cool! :D So this thread kind of does work haha I'm off to New Jersey on the 5th for 2 weeks to Lily Yip's Club in Dunellen for the World Hopes Team training camp, have to take my little trooper over there :)

As many as you have reasonable space to fit. The first small club I started playing in as a young child had 5-6 tables :)

Yea he's a pretty laid back kid haha maybe even a bit lacking in intensity sometimes :)

I finally fixed my video software and was able to upload the video highlights of the boy I went to Austria with for the World Hopes Trial. He made the quarterfinals and is now a member of the World Hopes Team, a great result for little old New Zealand. He's 2 times NZ u13 champion and this year...

Nice to have you here, it's a shame to see military service getting in the way of your passion but I suppose you have to do what you have to do. I hope you can learn enough here so when your service is over you can return a different player! :)

Great love the enthusiasm :D welcome to Table Tennis Daily! :)

That's ridiculous lol I don't even know what to say, the guy can solve a rubix cube in a minute which is reasonably impressive to an extent, he can solve it in a minute with one hand, that's incredible BUT he wasn't even concentrating on the cube, he was watching the ball most of the time. Insane.

Trust you! haha it drowned in all the potential space in my inbox :P
