Nothing wrong with a slower drill. The idea is that if you miss, you miss because of your own error, not because you were being fed too fast. This should be the basis of all multiball drills ;)

Regardless of whether or not the rule is fair, it's still contractual and they broke the rules. It's unfortunate they should have a clause to disallow the team player from competing but not disqualify the whole club from the competition.
