  1. Best rubbers (only ESN/Japanese) for spinny serves

Absolutely. Whenever I think my tenergy 19 is the issue, I watch Kenta just blast FH's and BH's with it and realize it's my shoddy technique lol
  2. Butterfly Zyre 03

As I thought, it's too much rubber for my level
  3. Best rubbers (only ESN/Japanese) for spinny serves

Nothing was better than my h3 for serves but I'm too fat to handle that rubber lol Tenergy 19 works well but I may go to baracuda for a little less catapult
  4. Do you have a favorite or unique practice method?

I'll try to play and do mostly reverse pendulum serves, or just BH since mine is weird and there's very little info online. My FH stinks too lol I just have decent serves and placement since I'm penhold
  5. Quadri Aruna losing to LP

Well, he won and could have won like 11-1 each set if he wanted to.
  6. Butterfly Zyre 03

Too much rubber for my skill level
  7. How long does a blade lasts?

I've dropped my viscaria so many times when learning how to twiddle under pressure. I still drop it a couple times a year lol.
  8. "This rubber is not correct!"

As an LP player myself, I just need to rub the pips with the palm of my hand to check for grip. I know it's not scientific whatsoever, but if you've touched enough legal LP's, you know what friction vs frictionless feels like. But, who knows, the player may be just slightly altering the pips...
  9. First Time Penholder: Help me out!

Learn tpb too. So many players I've encountered aren't used to the no spin punch of tpb. Finger gap is a matter of preference, I don't use it because I need my index finger free to tpb flick under spin over the table. I don't rpb, I tried but I'm too used to tpb.
  10. Editorial: It's hard to know if an equipment change actually makes you better

I went from tacky Chinese rubber to barracuda then tenergy, and the switch to tensors made a huge improvement, especially in aggressive and passive blocking. Serve has less spin but I win more points with blocking
  11. How would you define a Pro?

Your main source of income has to be TT related. I'm sure Timo makes/made more from Butterfly contracts than prize money.
  12. Tenergy 19 vs Baracuda

Thanks fellas. My EJ came up and just purchased the tenergy 19 lol. Hope I can control it
  13. Tenergy 19 vs Baracuda

Hi TTD, Since coming back to TT a couple of years ago, I have played 99% of the time with either h3neo, skyline tg3 or Jupiter Asia 3. Yesterday I slapped on a sheet of Donic Baracuda, and the difference in play is simply amazing. I felt like I couldn't miss with the Baracuda on. So, I am...
  14. Attacking Long Pip Players like Ni Xia Lian and Zhou Xintong... but at the amateur level?!

I use the saviga V in green because it's the most durable. Being a penholder, my fingers rub the pips, which breaks them in about 4 sessions. The green one hasn't broken in almost a year of use.
  15. Help me choose long pips

Saviga V is my favorite due to durability
  16. How does the US TT rating work?

Even in the US, ratings and skills differ from location. For example, a 2000 usatt rated player from California or New York would easily be 2100-2200 in the mid west due to lack of top players.
