@neon, You will be impressed by how easier you can handle incoming topspin with Etika... but it will not spin a slow, low energy ball like Tenergy or Diginiski or H3.

zeio, You were really high on my respect list already, but by saying Hugo KNEW... WHEN the SMASH was gunna be... but DID NOT PREPARE (like other athletes) his visa... you gained more respect by telling it like it is. Hugo is acting the irresponsible one here by flying in without coordination...

Another mostly Indian training club.

Make everyone play with a bat inverted FH and LP BH. That would be a lot of fun. Not gunna happen though.

If you like doing a crushing loop drive where you smack the dog piss outta the thing, you will LIKE it.

WHO from TTD is gunna be at the US Nationals? (as a player or coach) I normally do not play this tourney (and am not playing in this one either)... but I will be there coaching and getting players to make sum noise. The club I will be working with is comprise almost entirely of US born 2nd gen...

For that medium speed loop that has better arc that doppelmoral is looking to do better... (High arc means ball speed is not fast to allow that nice higher arc and to allow it to fall) (If you hit hard/fast with high arc, the ball will go out) Assuming good position/stance/leverage... Allow...

I think as you see @Colestt post moar, you will see how solid he is.

Personally, for FH, I do not worry about using a LOT of waist or shoulders... I simply point my right toe to the right, get waist down, then as I strike, I am pushing off with right foot/leg and come up, use a short hip, and power into the ball... it is all that is needed at the table and up to...

grüß Gott @doppelmoral !!! You should include a dozen + moar TTD members in the same class as you highly regard. Having said that... in your vid, you are not going for much... and that is a credit to you and your trainer. I see you are tall with a nice wide stance... that is almost standard...

@ThePongCommenter Who the heck are you ???!!! You are making valid comments. ( and that can be tricky. ) (even though many solid coaches disagree on some theory and development priorities) I would like to know you moar. Do I know you in Nor Cal?

When I help beginning adults... @Colestt suggestion (allow player to serve underspin and provide a long underspin return) is what I like to do in the early stages of teaching an adult learner to loop underspin... ... but that isn't the end all know all. Sometime, at later stages, it is good to...

@kindof99 You have explained technically what is happening to the OP. He has not yet learned how to time arrival of ball to strike zone and has not yet learned how to use leverage of his body with timing. It might be simply not understanding things as some members have articulated, or it may...

This is one damn good outstanding posts by many members thread.

Attention Barcelona TT Goon Squad: I have a friend who is my level (a former top ten national youth player) who had a 30 yr + break and back in tt for 5 yrs... He is sometimes in Barcelona in the University Square area willing to subway or drive car to tt action... He is in town June 29 to...

BTW @dingyibvs and the Bay Area Goon Squad... I might be coaching in San Ramos again for a spell, so maybe once a week Pleasanton ttc action may be on again.

@Jslick89 won U1675. UC Davis head coach made finals of U1800.

Watch the fun, Nexy Korea will prolly put out an Eng sub version, but have fun with the auto translate until then.

Sry to hear that NL, I did the sac Open last weekend, played 4 matches in hurricane wind conditions (wind blowing crazy on one side and strong on other. Defeated the 100 point lower rated player, gave big trouble to the 1900 to 2000 rated players, but was inconsistent in that wind, won vs 200...

Hi TB, The gap between 2800 and 300 is so huge it is difficult to describe. Of course there could be things going on well and not well for individual players... so there could be SOME chance a 2800 wins vs a 3000, but that is highly unlikely. A 2800 level player has to train ridiculously hard...
