  1. i dont think chinese rubbers do most people any favours

B2 (at least prov. blue sponge) is quite easy to play without booster and easy to hit through in comparison to unboosted H3 BS. No need to be physical beast. This thread isn't going anywhere anyway 🤷‍♂️ One can play badly with $150 CNT Dignics 09c or very good with cheap boosted Chinese...
  2. The Pro's Equipment - Discussion!

Does anyone know what Xu Xin currently use ? Did he switch back to TG2 or staying with his own Xuperman rubber on the fh ?
  3. Opinions about Yasaka Atletico Speed

Do have a video of you playing with that blade? Every time I read review I am thinking about the level of the player, I can trust Table tennis Gan reviews cause he's looks like a high level player, but revspin or others I am a bit sceptical. Can a 90$ blade be consistent enough is also a good...
  4. Chinese Super League 2025

Zhao Zihao wins against LSD...interesting, many mistakes on LSD side.

I was experimenting for month or two. I have a student who uses penhold, so I need to grasp the feeling myself (fingers pressure timing, equipment, tactics, etc.). Actually the basics are the same as shakehand grip: stance, lower body movement, footwork. Also, I admire the footwork and...
  6. Post your latest EJ purchase

The stuff has arrived. Loki's packaging looks cool! Although the blades' surfaces all look different, the rebound is quite consistent and I think should be plenty enough for kids, even for more advanced ones.

Been playing penhold back for a week. TG2 Prov. blue sponge 39 and H3 37 Prov backhand. TG2 is re-boosted with 1 layer of regular Haifu Seamoon. The setup is quite good, however I don't think that Skyline fits the new ball well...it lack spin a bit, though the ball shoots out a little...
  8. Post your latest EJ purchase

Not really an EJ purchase, but equipment to donate to the local village club where kids train. Chose some 5 ply blades and Palio and Yinhe rubbers + I'll give away all my old hurricanes and some other rubbers. I myself though am staying with w968 and H3s on both sides. B2 can't stand a chance...
  9. Are players in Europe (US as well) interested in lesser-known Chinese rubbers?

I need orange sponge 2.1, I don't like (and can't really) hit through blue sponge on w968 without 3-4 layers of booster, which I don't want to do. On ZJK ALC BS works with 1-2 layers sure, but I simply don't like the feeling and I am a fan of ML, not ZJK :) OS works with 1-2 layers perfectly...
  10. Are players in Europe (US as well) interested in lesser-known Chinese rubbers?

non-tacky h3 straight up just doesn't work on w968...my old tacky h3 provincial orange 37 has such and amazing feeling on the backhand. Waiting for Battle II to arrive to completely replace h3 on my w968. It definitely has less end-power than boosted h3, however w968 is very flexible and I can...
  11. Post your latest EJ purchase

Latest EJ purchase just to check the theory: regular H3 (non neo) commercial 40 degrees. My expectations were that it's still tacky and should work much better than non-tacky H3 NEO, with which I couldn't do the flicks, the ball went out all the time, etc. And it did work, old feeling is back...
  12. Suggestions: Chinese style forehand rubbers for ~$30 (penhold), I can get more expensive ones since I'll be using taobao

I am really disappointed in tackiness of commercial (and actually provincial and national also) H3 orange sponge...even boosted it just doesn't spin the ball as well as BS. Battle II provincial blue sponge is cheaper and does things similarly or even better (it surely is more tacky than current...
  13. DHS N301 - blade that actively tries to kill you

Objectively I play worse, but I prefer feeling of w968 to zjk alc...so I am kinda in between still. I don't play competitively much these days, so experimenting with rubber on w968 is ok for me. H3 on the bh does wonders for me, it's the fh that I can't decide what to play with
  14. DHS N301 - blade that actively tries to kill you

40 2.1, I have tried it unboosted and it's better than h3 BS unboosted for sure. Boosted should be even better
  15. DHS N301 - blade that actively tries to kill you

You should've stayed with King 3 :) That video is 6 years old and you were already killing it Edit: by the way, I am currently trying Battle II prov blue sponge on the w968 and I can surprisingly hit through the blade with this rubber, and can't with H3 blue sponge. H3 orange is not tacky and...
  16. Liang Jingkun signs with LOKI

Can't really tell if it's w968 with Loki handle or real Loki blade, so meh, it doesn't matter much. LJK's mental game is very impressive and matters a lot though.

Does anybody know what hurricane version is this ? never seen 0.5 hardness scale for orange sponged h3
