  1. ITTF Racquet Control Changes for 2025 (...don't shoot the messenger!)

No, there is nothing in the current laws that would make them illegal.
  2. OOAK Forums insistently discriminating against @Igorponger 🤬

Nope, no one is blocking you, the forum just seems to time-out for you, which appears to be related to routing between you and the OOAK forum server, or something to do with your setup (VPN perhaps?). It may also be related to the massive swarm of bots that have been targeting the forum in the...
  3. Tips and Vlog videos

That's good effort Matt!! Love some of your tricky serves and returns! (y)
  4. Butterfly 2025 New Blades: Outer Force ALC, CAF, ZLC

Sounds like a lot more clever marketing to me. The only reason 'innerforce' blades were created was because most composite blades had the composite layers near the surface, i.e. they were 'outerforce', so they could see a demand for blades where the composite layers were closer to the core. Now...
  5. Yasaka Bold Dragon - Review

Since this rubber is not on the official Yasaka website, although it IS on the ITTF LARC, I suspect it's a China-only release, very much like the Yasaka Zap, which I believe was made by Chinese manufacturer Palio. I'm not even sure if Yasaka endorses this product, or if it's just made by a...
  6. CORKSCREW --the best rewarding type of spin.

    Nicely illustrated, I agree completely.
  7. CORKSCREW --the best rewarding type of spin.

It's when the axis of rotation is along the horizontal line between you and your opponent, so it's basically pure sidespin, either left or right. Don't know why they call it corkscrew, but this seems to be a commonly accepted term.
  8. CORKSCREW --the best rewarding type of spin.

Yes I thought so too...if it was pure sidespin the return would likely not have gone into the net.
  9. ITTF Racquet Control Changes for 2025 (...don't shoot the messenger!)

I can see these changes to be very negative for sport as a whole, some of the majors reasons being: 1. The media releases after majors events will be all about the 'cheaters' not the winners or great players, because bad press tends to sell better. 2. Audiences watching or attending events won't...
  10. Blade like old Waldner Allplay

    Exactly, Donic still make it.
  11. HOT DAMN !!! This coach teaches FH Slow/Heavy loop exactly every key point Der_Echte values !!!

This video is really good! Slow spinny loop is my favourite shot too, although I think his 'slow' is lot faster than my 'slow'. :ROFLMAO:
  12. Discontinuation of Darker Speed 90

Is the cork cut the same on the other side? Tenergy 05 works nicely on the 1-ply, so I would expect the g-1 to work nicely too.
  13. Discontinuation of Darker Speed 90

There are a few varieties of Hinoki, but "Kiso Hinoki" is regarded by most as being the best (this is what Darker uses as well), and this comes only from the Kiso region in Japan. If it's not marked as Kiso Hinoki, you can't be sure that it is in fact Kiso Hinoki, although most high-end hinoki...
  14. Best long pip player🇮🇹

No one said anything about cheating. Do you feel it's "FAIR PLAY" to accuse someone of cheating because he's playing with long pimples?
  15. Best long pip player🇮🇹

I think that most players think this, until they try to use LP/anti themselves. It's only then that you realise the weaknesses of the rubber, and how much skill it takes to play the shots that this guy plays so consistantly.
  16. Sabine Winter switches to antispin

Amelie Solja went down this path, but she was never very popular within the German selectors, so I think she ended up playing for Austria. I did an interview with her many years ago (probably not appropriate for me to post the link), and she said that she was not welcomed to the German National...
  17. Keeping the rubbers "warm" in winter

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: Yes it;'s definitely a real thing, rubbers are more rigid in cold weather. Some of our top competition players put their bats under their clothes or even in their pants, to warn them up before playing. I too notice the difference, the rubbers are just less...
  18. Dignics and its Effect on Sales of Tenergy and Rozena

I wonder how they increased their profit by 50% with only 9% increase in sales? Reducing their costs, increasing their prices, better exchange rate?
  19. How do I attach topsheet to sponge?

Whichever way you glue it, don't clamp the rubber too hard afterwards, or else the sponge will stick to the side of the pimples, resulting in very visible dents.
  20. Searching for textile underlayer.

Some pimple rubbers come with no sponge (i.e. OX), and have a textile layer on the basesheet that reinforces it. Dr Evil is one, but there are quite a few others. I suspect though, based on previous experiences, that he's looking for something that makes them illegal so that he can report them...
