  1. Yuto Muramatsu to Tibhar?

I don't know of current players using it, but I don't really keep up to date with this. Yes you may be right, Joo was using it with celluloid balls, but he also used p1-r with celluloid balls.
  2. Yuto Muramatsu to Tibhar?

Grass Dtecs with a sponge is very suitable for chopping, even the great JSH used it for a while.
  3. Looking for a no gears/variables setup

Those rubbers are pretty linear, but the blade is quite flexy and has quite a bit of a kick. I wonder if that's what you're experiencing?
  4. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

It's quite common for the smaller Chinese manufacturer to outsource the manufacturing of their rubbers, and they would likely pick the cheapest quote at any one time. As a result, you'll get cheap rubber which might be really good, but it can vary hugely depending in which factory made it. I...
  5. Why do I still feel more comfortable with T05 on FH instead D05?

Just because D05 is a more recent rubber, doesn't mean it's superior in every way compared to T05. If T05 works better for you, stick with it, it's an excellent rubber.
  6. Farewell to OOAK Forums.

This type of error occurs when a page times out. This has nothing to do with the actual website (which is up 99.99% of the time), but related to how traffic is routed, which is obviously different for every country. Clearly there seems to be an issue when Igor connects from his device to the...
  7. Short Pips both sides...

I don't see that having SP on one side is evidence that double SP is viable at the elite level. SP on one side can offer some advantages because it offers contrast (between the two sides) and different options of shots. Double SP does not offer either of these, which is why I agree with others...
  8. How do you boost your Hurricane 3 Neo?

It's good to get some basic pointers on boosters and their application, but in the end you're going to have to do some experimenting yourself, because the feeling and boosting that you like in a rubber can be completely different to someone else. It also takes time and practice the get...
  9. Did you notice the backhand?

It seems that video is not viewable from AU.
  10. New Xiom blades?

Xiom don't announce discontinue blades, they just stop being available to their suppliers. Xiom dealers can actually see how many are available when they place an order, and when the number goes to zero, you just can't get them anymore. This may be a simple supply or material shortage issue...
  11. New Xiom blades?

Yes they are, they've always done this, which is a pain when you find one that you really like!
  12. DHS 301 or Butterfly Innerforce layer alc

You're right, the 301 surface is very porous and completely unsealed, so you'd definitely want to seal it!
  13. A Person versed of Table Tennis Rules is wanted.

The serve wasn't legal, because he did not toss up the ball high enough, so he loses the point.
  14. Where to buy Darker Speed 70

Speed and quality. The Speed 90 uses the highest quality Kiso Hinoki. I believe the Speed 70 is actually faster, but does not have the feel and control of the Speed 90. I'm sure the 70 would still be a nice blade though. Although the Speed 90 was discontinued many years ago, dealers could still...
  15. Table Tennis axed from Commonwealth Games - 2026

Yes, table tennis wasn't the only one cut, they cut heaps of sports leaving only 10. I appreciate it's probably due to costs, but it makes the whole event a bit of joke IMO.
  16. What are the best orange balls?

I found the DHS ones (D40+ or DJ40+) quite consistent, but there's heaps of fakes ones around (you can usually tell by the label), which may account for reports of inconsistencies. The orange ones are quite decent too.
  17. Xiom Tau II

That's a good question. The Joola Golden Tango (not the PS version) is the tackiest ESN rubber I can think off, and that too appears to be discontinued. A shame, because it is also a very good rubber.
  18. New serve rule 2.6. No hidden balls anymore.

While that's true, it would remove some of the really cool looking serves, serves that are perfectly legal currently, which I feel would diminish the sport somewhat if we made them illegal.
  19. New serve rule 2.6. No hidden balls anymore.

I agree, and the rules are really made for international competition which has an umpire on both sides, so a fault can be detected much more easily. The rules also state that it's the player's responsibility to ensure that the umpire can ensure that your serve is legal. This is rather silly to...
  20. Worst names of table tennis rubbers?

That's true, but that's at least meaningful for players with a Chinese background.
