  1. Post your latest EJ purchase

Tried TG2 NEO 40 degrees (commercial) yesterday. Very good spin, ok speed, ok tackiness. Put 1 very thin layer of Seamoon (thinking that NEO sponge should somewhat already be treated..), but that's definitely not enough for commercial version. 2 layers should be just fine, at least for the...
  2. Boosted Chinese rubber better than Tensor for backhand?

I find H3 37 booster be better in every aspect than G-1, for example. But if I compare it with T05...it's debatable. Both are equally good or H3 37 is a bit better and certainly more cost efficient ($/performance ratio), but hassle of boosting TWO sides of the blade is just too much for me...
  3. Opinions on the Hurricane Long 5 Blades

yup, I meant third ball attack. Nittaku Acoustic is almost perfect for loop killing third ball with H3, but it lacks power on pushes and overall above the table plays comparing to Vis/Long5, since the new ball is just different. Hence all(95%?) pros switching to carbon blades. By Acoustics'...
  4. Opinions on the Hurricane Long 5 Blades

Nope I don't have a passport photo, unfortunately...But both HL5s felt kind of the same - rather bouncy. Long 5 is *amazing* on top spins, especially on opening loop kills. I managed to did those alot with HL5. But blocking even the simplest drill is difficult when training with high level...
  5. Opinions on the Hurricane Long 5 Blades

Can't compare Long 5 to w968 since I've never owned one, but I have Viscaria and completely agree with Table Tennis Gan opinion: get a Viscaria. I've owned Long 5 2016 (older version with bigger head size) and 2020 regular commercial version and all I can say is that Viscaria is just better...
  6. Chinese defenders setup

I was just wondering what equipment these cool players use, have a look at these two vids. Zhou Yu makes a lot of mistakes against this defender... What blade? what rubbers? Second game is even more ridiculous...the handle of the defender guy looks like DHS Long 5/w968/Long3 I assume FH...
  7. Dhs h8-80

Intersting feedback. I've found H8-80 to be good, but not powerful enough. With G-1 or C-1 I can produce powerful topspins with both speed and spin. With H8-80 it's either fast, but not so spinny or very spinny, but slow and with my technique there's no middle ground for some reason...sticking...
  8. Yes, this is about boosters, again...

It would be very interesting if someone translated this. Thanks a lot.
  9. New Hurricane King for Wang Chuqin

    wait a second....................................................................................................................................................... ...
  10. Post your latest EJ purchase

Do you think TG2 will be good on Acoustic? edit: also, is it provincial blue sponge TG2 or commercial ?
  11. Post your latest EJ purchase

I would say regular hands. LG handle is definitely better for BH. FH I feel that sometimes with bigger handles I need to consciously relax the wrist more, since smaller handles kind of make my wrist loose automatically on the FH side(HL5 is another blade with rather thin handle - same...
  12. Post your latest EJ purchase

OK tried C-1 and it's much better than G-1 for BH. The sponge is softer, while topsheet remains very grippy, so I can execute the same BH flicks. Blocks and counter topspins are easier to execute. So far happy with this rubber on the BH, waiting when EJ virus strikes again. Also gonna return...
  13. Acoustic 82g vs 90g?

I had 3 acoustics and 2 of them was 85g, the latest with large handle I have is 88g, which is perfect for me.
  14. How low/wide should the stance be?

I think there should be some science behind 'being comfortable'. I (rarely) experience this feeling when I make one shot and then another and then another and the stance just feels right and comforable to do however many top spins I need to win the point. However, it's not always the case and...
  15. Post your latest EJ purchase

I've received Nittaku Acoustic just recently (again...), but this time with large handle and this was the best purchase in my life. Feels MUCH better than regular handle. Nittaku FastArc G-1 on FH somehow fits Acoustic just right. It feels right. It does just everything how I expect it to do...
  16. mihalichtheone

    spin it

    spin it
  17. Post your latest EJ purchase

Yinhe Big Dipper 39 degrees. I though that it might replace H3. Nope, not at all. Much less spin, unfortunately. H3 forever it seems.
  18. Booster in winter.

I've ordered it once in winter and it came in a very "interesting" state. It was consisting of two substances: very fluid part and denser part. After mixing these two with the brush that it comes with, it became like water in terms of density. Overall, I think it lost some of it's properties...
  19. Alternative to Hurricane 3 Neo

So here's a little quote from Table Tennis Gan from YouTube under his video about boosting. Enough of a proof for me that 1-2 layers are sufficient to play well (and he plays really well) Better have more training sessions, than overboost the rubber.

@Dan thans for the awesome opportunity to share knowledge and chat with people around the world about table tennis. Great redesign! Now back to discussing hurricane 3 and boosting...
