I have long advocated the theory to avoid edge tape because it hinders the air between the pimples to escape. I do like the feel of pimple out rubbers and it reminds me of some rock hard CJ8000 Palio rubbers that gave a similar "direct feel"

Quite a drastic kind of assessment. Probably justified when it comes to carbon- outers with koto or other hard outer laminates but most definitely not when it comes to some carbon - inners where the carbon does sometimes not much more than increase the hotspot.

The system that works for me is to mount identical rubbers on 2 or even 3 blades. It then became very easy to sort out which blade was the most comfortable to play with.

I sealed my Kokutaku 9 layer Hinoki blade twice with fine layers of sealent................and it still splintered

I don't think it is measurable but I always thought that it depends whether the edge tapes are only covering the blade or also the complete edge including the rubber. If the edge of the rubbers are covered air can not escape when the ball gets hit and this "MIGHT" influence not only how the...

..........and of course this does in no way mean that it can't be an excellent blade.

I just sold a set of Neos which i bought about 3 years ago . The mate who bought them could not believe just how sticky they are. what is sold today as "sticky" should be rebranded as "Non-sticky". One more H3 commercial for sale at a very special price 🤣🤣🤣

Do you mean that different rubbers on one side will change the characteristics of the rubber on the other side ?

Don't know because I haven't tried all their blades BUT after buying the first T5000 I quickly bought a second one, I also think they are an excellent blade and a total bargain too.

Which is of course a pity because Sanwei, like many chinese firms, is selling everything from top quality items to complete rubbish. 😋

As an afterthought, I would not even bother with Neo but go straight for the orange sponge commercial H3. Apply the booster sparingly and give the layers plenty of time to dry and over night for the last of the 3 layers.
