As long as you dont have any issues with gripswitching, having your thumb touching your rubber is no problem. It is actually the opposite, because you gain a ton of controll over your backhand with your thumb applying pressure on your rubber. The only reason why this might be bad is that...

That depends on your technique. Last week for example i played against someone who had Andro Rasanter R37 on both sides. He mostly played his shots with his forearm and wrist and could create an immense amount of spin with it. The disadvantage here came with the shortplay and the limited power...

Big Dipper is way harder and therefore requires way more force to the same speed level of the Hurricane 8-80, which is softer and easier to generate speed with it. That is the main reason i consider the Hurricane 8-80 more of a BH rubber which makes it hard to compare with a Dipper which is...

That is just plainly wrong: https://pingsunday.com/is-ma-long-forced-to-retire/#Ma_Longs_surprise_decision On top of that many forget that he is not 20 anymore and already have several issues with his body. Playing several trials, olympia on top of training is really tiring. In addition Ma...

True. But i dont think he can win like this against FZD. I guess FZD will take this event. He seems to take this way more serious and i dont think Ma Long will want to go all out trying to defeat FZD. The risk and pressure on his body is just not worth it for a warmup event like this. Btw...

I hope i didnt miss an existing thread about this. In case i didnt - for those who dont know MALONG Fanmade Channel streams the event which counts as preparation for the WTTC. Some thoughts so far: - I am happy to see a normal and better format than the running WTT Contender with their...

This question is a bit unspecific. What i can say, that his setup is at least decent and would probably fit many beginners to intermediate players. You should be able to perform every sort of shots with it.

I guess i kinda have it for now at least. Blade: DHS TG 506x FH: DHS Hurricane 3 neo prov BH: Victas V>15 Extra Thoughtprocess: My biggest problem was a decent rubber beside a Butterfly product. I teste several rubber before which always had at least one problem which made it a dealbreaker...

So you stick with the affordable alternatives from other chinese brands. While i played with several chinese rubbers in the past (e.g. Sanwei Target National, Hurricane 3, Hurricane 3 neo, Dipper...) they all perform at least decent if not really great on FH overall. The huge upset comes with...

And what the chinese use if they are not sponsored by DHS and play smth different. Do they use the provincial version like us plebs or do they use a completely dofferent brand?

Sry i should have made that clearer - i was talking about DHS and not Butterfly. On the DHS website they feature FZD but not ZJK like he was never sponsored by them. But they mention Wang Liqin who retired before ZJK if my nemory doesnt fail me. So that option is supposedly oht of the way.

At least on their website they do not feature ZJK, but FZD. So maybe they do have him under contract too which would be quite intriguing.

I am pretty sure it was the Hurricane 3 in the last tournaments because of the brighter sponge. But 247tabletennis for example is still certain about his Hurricane 8 usage... @Michael Zhuang: If you have the chance to get World number one under contract or someone who is completely struggling...

Yeah a year ago or smth like that. The last tournaments he played with Hurricane 8 and maybe hurricane 3 neo at the chinese national games and super league but im not 100% sure about that.

As sampletext mentioned for you: Neither of those players uses Butterfly rubbers. Ma Long is not even using any Butterfly equipment at all. Besides he is under DHS contract for sure.

Sry but i am reading that i have to boost and masturbate NOW. What if i did both already today? Instructions unclear - reported! @topic: Yeah great, now i will have to buy at least one Butterfly product. Thanks Fan and rip another 200 bucks for TT-gear

Well he certainly failed at that i suppose. Maybe Carl is right, and he is unable to propperly communicate. Nevertheless i would say that there is no need to think much about dwell time because this value doesnt give you much at all. It just maybe the reason for a certain amount of speed or...

I didnt play the ak47 but i used the Focus 3 sniper boosted and unboosted. It is by far a bad rubber. The speed is average unboosted, same goes in terms of spin and the control is great. The rubber doesnt react too well to the Booster but it got at least a bit faster. I would say it is a decent...

Like this? Then yes obviously^^ EDIT: Not sure if the picture is showing. For me it lacks in the post but it is here in editing mode 🤨

Most definitly. I think in this tournament both showed perfectly that they are playing on a different level than the rest, especially against the Top 10 (or 11 including Wang Cuqin). Incredible performance and FZD definitly deserved his titel here.
