Hey guys! Quick update as a few of you have asked. We are working on something super exciting, and if it all plans out, will be an awesome event! I can’t share anything just yet, but it looks like it could be a Sunday in June 2026. I have a video call with all involved in early January...

Dignics 05! You can't - Embrace the drop off! 😂

I said that when I took on the role of "mod", it wouldn't change what/how I post (not that I post a huge amount anyway!) The reality is, it's difficult for people to know if you are posting as a "mod" or your own opinion. This is *my* opinion. @pingpongpaddy considering you were a mod how...

Oh, it would be great if no moderation was ever needed because everyone could communicate effectively and get on. But mods are primarily here to ensure the best experience for everyone who uses the forum. Onwards and upwards! 😊

My condolences! ;) I would argue that this is the *third* thread around such things in less than 24 hours - Does that count as repetition? I fundamentally disagree with this - Not that free speech is important (it very much is), but that every forum is adopting such an approach. You can't...

Hey all, I’m closing this thread, but given the context and sensitivity, wanted to explain a little as to why I’m doing so. 1. It’s the weekend…. It’s a little easier for things to get out of hand! 😂 2. There is already another thread about this to some extent, and that may answer a lot of...

Oh boy - What a Friday night read that was. I'll try and be brief, because like many of you.... My time is disappearing rapidly these days! Hey, I'm NDH and I agreed to help Dan with a bit of moderation on the forum when I have time. I think it's important to remember that the forum has been...

I don't think it's a ridiculous take - If a film/TV Show becomes popular and showcases a niche sport/activity/hobby, there is usually a decent uptake in whatever it is. Look at the Queens Gambit - Imagine telling people a Netflix show about Chess is going to cause.... The Queen's Gambit caused...

Must be a language barrier…. You are confusing “Absolutely 100% always” with…. “Sometimes”. Let’s not forget the beers in between sets as well! 😂

I don’t really want to give this anymore airtime than it needs - It’s impossible to interpret tone in a text message, so I (and everyone else) have no idea if you are being serious, or joking. However, the concept of “freedom of speech” on internet forums and other online platform with rules...

I thought this was one of the best videos in a long time - And we've had some good ones recently! It was great to see "normal" players, even if 99% of them were still very "top end" for most people. I also thought @Dan looked fantastic (ability wise) - You don't get to see it so much when...

I spoke to @Dan recently regarding the TTD meet up, and probably didn’t quite understand just how busy the TTD stuff is at the moment (so give him a moment to catch up on everything). I 100% agree with @UpSideDownCarl re moderation - A forum of this size and “importance” needs a “team” of...

Relatively open question, so it's hard to answer. It's a little frustrating when people start talking about what the "Pros" think..... None of us are pros.... None of us will ever be pros..... So just because a certain pro would find the blade more important (or whatever), it really doesn't...

You should come to a UK local league match..... Where you'll find 2 "pushers" (not sure I can call them "choppers") battling away, playing 10-20 minute sets until the early hours of the morning on a wet, cold Friday night. Only then will you appreciate the expedite rule 😅

This is a very unique request.... But I like it! In the UK, most clubs won't have surplus shirts - They'll be made to order. Would be interested to see what shirts you manage to get though!

Sorry to get serious for a second..... (boo). But please do DM me directly if you are interested in coming (no commitments at this stage as we obviously don't have the dates etc sorted). It's just so I can keep a track, without taking a random comment as intention to come :) Current List...

"I have such an advantage on every service.... I don't know which one to do" 😂 That is brutal! 😂 Has anyone checked on @Dan since then...... (I feel the inside out forehand made up for everything!)

We'll have an entire hour to see just how many people can teach you a forehand topspin ;) Would be great to see you!

Hey TTD - Just keeping this thread in people's minds. I'll be working with @backspacer to see what options we have for a German meet up next year. Likely August, but both date, time and location are still TBC. If you'd be interested, please DM me and I can add you to the list. The total...

Apologies, I don’t know your level so I’m not sure of the context here. I’ve been quite open about my level, and it’s there for all to see (the good thing with the UK is that the local league results are recorded very well!) I would comment that YES, a lot will be marketing hype and conscious...
