  2. New Equipment 2018

This ebay seller translates them as the colour code: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nittaku-Table-Tennis-Rubber-NR-8721-Kyoto-Leopard-P3-T-Orange-back-soft-Black/273677510488?epid=14028544646&hash=item3fb8736758:g:IOoAAOSwV1Vb-Pal Which seems pretty redundant when they're all the same?

  3. Xiom ice cream blade

My review of the AZX is up in the equipment centre. If anyone in the UK (or a well-known member in the EU) wants to have a go, send me a PM!

  4. Ice cream AZX

5 out of 5 rating for Ice cream AZX Had the pleasure of testing out the Xiom Ice Cream AZX over the last few weeks! After extraction from the trapezoidal prism box, here are the basic stats: Thickness - 5.7mm Weight - 87g Headsize - 157x150 Structure - Koto-ALC-Limba-Kiri-Limba-ZLC-Koto...

  6. andro Hexer Grip SFX and Powergrip SFX

Many thanks! Useful info. Was looking to try one of these 4 soon, and now I can pick solely on sponge hardness. And thanks also to Ondrej for the excellent review!

  7. andro Hexer Grip SFX and Powergrip SFX

All 4 of them have identical topsheets?

  8. Tihbar K2 review: Hurricane 3 subs with similar feeling, more speed and no boosting

K1 Europe just looks like regular K1 in a new packet to my eyes. Tibhar just responded to market demand IMO. Both great rubbers (and I'm pretty sure they're identical), but more european than chinese so it's a tough call to compare to boosted H3. I know that's where they're aiming but they...

  9. New Butterfly rubber "Dignics 05" 2019

I've always maintained that Tenergy has a sweet, pine-like smell when fresh out of the packet, and the feel of running a finger down the sponge is a little slick (for want of a better word). Also, it's a long time ago now and I'd accept that my memory could well be faulty, but I remember the...

  10. World Championship of Ping Pong 2019

The level was high all weekend! Amazing how they play that well with sandpaper bats - I find it really tough to play aggressively with such a drop in spin.

  11. Which balls are the worst

BTY released the A40+, which is a good ball but probably just a variant of the other chinese ABS seamed offerings (D40+ or the Double Fish one) so you're best off saving some money IMO. Some players (and clubs) have a heavy brand bias and gravitate towards a brand they know regardless of...

  12. Which balls are the worst

This thread is my spirit animal. G40+, all day long.

  13. Fan Zhendong using all wood blade at the World Team Cup

Ah, good point. So, what's the story about the missing lens from LGY's handle then?

  14. Fan Zhendong using all wood blade at the World Team Cup

I thought it was super funny, if that helps. About LGY - Butterfly have him down as using a "custom order" ALC, so not specifically a Viscaria... https://www.butterfly.co.jp/players/detail/lin-gaoyuan.html

  15. Fan Zhendong using all wood blade at the World Team Cup

That's really cool, pretty much puts it all to bed I would say. Thanks for pulling this out! Just to be a real nit-picker, the only doubt would be that sometimes VT editors will use sections from earlier as filler, so the footage at 36:52 could be another shot of WCQ's Viscaria from earlier in...

  16. Hungarian Open 2019

Chuqin's performance was excellent today. Did a great job of nullifying Hugo's strengths, and then hit some outrageous reaction shots of his own. Very mature, I thought.

  17. Hungarian Open 2019

This was a great match. Some outrageous hitting and ridiculous blocking.

  18. Stiga Mantra - Genesis difference / Donic Blestorm

"Enough" speed is a very personal thing. Genesis II is pretty different to Mantra - it's slower and semi tacky. The tackiness might make more of an impact on your game than the basic speed, so best to take that into consideration as well.

  19. Anna Hursey 12 from the UK

Good performance in the Bath Open final against a tough chopper.

  20. New Butterfly rubber "Dignics 05" 2019

Did you see how expensive this is? It's tragically manic, see?
