  1. Damien Éloi: Are the top players’ rubbers different?

It´s always the same story. Different sponge hardness normal, different sponge altogether possible, very careful selection of quality. Factory boosting also possible. Topsheet has to be the one approved by the ITTF if the rules are respected. That you could fabricate a totally different...
  2. Why are rubbers getting harder with ABS balls?

Yes of course, but it takes skills to activate a harder rubber, otherwise it won´t be faster. So the question posed why not more people use the support of a softer rubber with more catapult is valid for amateur level, I think.
  3. Why are rubbers getting harder with ABS balls?

On pro level harder rubbers have always been preferred and that´s where the trends started - (even) harder Tensor, hybrid rubbers, faster blades (like SALC instead of ALC). On amateur level I think many just follow without any real necessity. And others just carry on regardless.
  4. New Andro NUZN 48 and 45

+1 to what vossi39 wrote Also, switching from soft 40 degree Tensor rubbers to harder hybrid rubbers should generally be well considered. It could be a step forward, but it will be different and will need some getting used to. Maybe stepping up a little bit in forehand hardness would be a good...
  5. New Andro NUZN 48 and 45

I think the maximum spin potential of NUZN rubbers is even higher than that of C Rasanters. But not many players can access the maximum, and for most amateurs it´s rather the ease with which they can create spin. A soft rubber might produce more spin in the hands of a lower league player than a...
  6. What to replace vega europe with?

    From mid-August on.
  7. New Andro NUZN 48 and 45

NUZN 45 will not be available before mid-August. Generally, NUZN rubbers have a different feeling than C-Rasanter rubbers. The character is less "Chinese" with an overall feeling closer to a normal Tensor rubber. To simplify, and please read with caution: NUZN has the advantages of C-Rasanter...
  8. New Andro NUZN 48 and 45

I think the overall feeling is similar, but the softer sponge might help. Unfortunately I don´t have a NUZN 50 on the same racket to make more detailed comparisons.
  9. New Andro NUZN 48 and 45

From all the hybrid rubbers I´ve tried - beginning with earliest BlueGrip via K3 and Rakza Z to v20 DE or Vega Pro H - NUZN 50 offered the best mixture of properties. Not too much China feeling, just that little bit extra control over the table, while at the same time on active strokes - topspin...
  10. New Andro NUZN 48 and 45

And it´s really very good :) The important point is that it´s not just a softer sponge stuck under an existing topsheet ("FX version"), but a new variation of all components to fit non-professional players while retaining the general NUZN feeling. Unsurprisngly you get less power from NUZN 48...
  11. New Andro NUZN 48 and 45

    NUZN 48 is now available
  12. Any news and info on Zhang Jike's New donic bluegrip j line?

Seleted. Somebody tell Donic to insert a C where applicable.
  13. New Andro NUZN 48 and 45

Can´t imagine they would, because Rasanter are their flagship "non-hybrids".
  14. 1.Bundesliga Women Germany 2024/2025

It´s really unusual for her to lose against defence. Kaneyoshi changed her tactics slightly, but Sabine missed a lot of shots that she normally wouldn´t. Body or head (pressure?), "something wrong" seems to have been the case. ;-)
  15. New Andro NUZN 48 and 45

Even better. Since Schoeler+Micke is the parent company of andro they should know.
  16. Donic Bluegrip J series

Actually it´s a little more complicated, or even a little more of a mixed bag. The topsheet rubber mixture from Bluestar A is the foundation, sponge structure and topsheet geometry are from Bluegrip C. Whatever that means...
  17. Hybrid rubbers vs tensors: difference in looping techniques?

Yes. I wanted to quote this as well, but didn´t have the source ready.
  18. Why are we so adamant about grippy rubber needing tensor?

This kinda made my day. :) I read a lot about learning "the right technique" and I picture 70+ year olds teaching the "right technique" of 1975 with rubbers introduced to the market in the 60s. Yes, Werner Schlager is Butterfly sponsored and new rubbers have to sell - but what he has to say...
  19. I need a German inner blade

Pretty much limits the search to anything produced by Soulspin under their own name or for others, like the Andro Ligna blades already mentioned. You can also look at the Tibhar Fortino Pro but beware, while the Outer version is made in Germany the newer DC Inside is designed in Germany and...
  20. New Andro NUZN 48 and 45

Week 25 still valid. But there is some new info on these rubbers. They are a new interpretation of the NUZN technology aimed at non-professionals, so they are not just "FX" versions with softer sponges only (as we know them from other manufacturers). Longevity and grip (both outstanding...
