  1. Which Hurricane 3 should I choose?

I'm with 2 Unlimited on this one Of course there's a limit for Chinese rubbers too, and you get good spin with a Tenergy, but a H3 gives you more options as you can just hit through the Tenergy spin or brush it back harder with the right technique. But you have to work hard for it :)
  2. Looking for a custom setup advice

As OP likes a challenge and likes to move quickly and push himself physically, why not go with something quite like the H3 that actually demands some work to be used properly? I don't think that a H3 39deg on 5-ply allround wooden blade would be too hard to use, and it would be great for...
  3. Which Hurricane 3 should I choose?

Well. It depends on how you hit the ball. For me a H3 39deg feels too mushy and the effect when I use a H3 41deg on a stiffer, faster blade is much better. It's all individual :)
  4. Which Hurricane 3 should I choose?

Why don't you start with a commercial version? You could save a lot of money and lose almost no performance. If you go for a harder sponge like 41deg, it fits better with a stiffer/harder blade while the softer around 39deg goes good with most blades.
  5. Primorac carbon with Hurricane 8-80

Yes he has, but he likes better to play with the H3 41deg on backhand than the 37 deg, because of the more direct effect and speed it gives when top spinning. Likewise. But I feel that the H8-80 top sheet feels much different from the H8. The ordinary H8 top sheet, to me, is much more similar...
  6. Primorac carbon with Hurricane 8-80

I had the H8-80 38deg on backhand before. As it is bouncy, it also can be really dead in the flat hits. I really liked it in the blocking/defending game, but it demanded a bit too much of my technique on the offensive part to work allright. I've used a Yinhe V14 Pro blade for testing.. Actually...
  7. Loki Rubbers

No sorry, I haven't. It's out of stock for the moment at 729, but I think that it will soon be in stock and then I'll get both hardnesses and colors.
  8. Loki Rubbers

Focus III comes in 42, 44 and 46 hardness, but they do all have a softer feel than Rxton rubbers. But the Rxton rubbers have a top sheet that lasts longer than the Focus III, so they will be more cost effective of course. If you are looking for a cheaper, softer rubber with some tack you could...
  9. Dignics 05 (un-)replaceable?

Joola Dynaryz AGR gets quite close. It gives you a bit more control as it's not that bouncy as Dignics 05 is.
  10. Can somebody translate this from Chinese?

They told me that it's PBO and it says so in the description of the blade, so it would be strange if it wasn't PBO :) https://sanweisport.com/en/product/blade/expert-carbon/froster-pbo/

  12. Loki Rubbers

The 729 Focus 3 is a really soft rubber compared to the Rxton series. Is that what you look for? A harder rubber for backhand? What hardness do you use in Focus 3?
  13. Looking for recommendations

I think it's fairly easy to glue and cut your own rubbers, and if you get it on wrong the first time, just peel off the glue and start over. I think the Timo Boll Spirit is discontinued, but like jk1980, I think you should look at a more controllable, allround blade and there are plenty of...
  14. Moon Speed 53 vs Moon Pro

Ah ok. Then I understand. I have had both hard and medium, and the difference between these two are quite big. The hard version I could easily use as a replacement for Hurricane 3 or Battle II on my forehand, while the medium feels more like a backhand rubber for me, with a quite soft sponge.
  15. Moon Speed 53 vs Moon Pro

But this can't be the Moon Pro Hard, right? Is it the Medium or Soft perhaps?
  16. Horrible backhand, stiff wrist.

What hardness do you have on the DNA rubbers now? You could go down a hardness and perhaps use a thinner sponge too, if you use MAX now? Or look at some other softer, grippier rubbers for the backhand. There are plenty to choose from. Most Chinese rubbers are more linear than Euro/Jap rubbers...
  17. Horrible backhand, stiff wrist.

I'm very far from a backhand specialist, and I could only go to myself and share my own experiences. I feel that your backhand technique is quite good though but it might benefit from using a rubber that allows the ball to dig in a little bit more. This DNA Platinum could be a tiny bit too hard...
  18. Need help choosing a backhand rubber

Pimplepark Epos is a great half tacky rubber with a soft sponge and a mild catapult. Could fit in quite well on your description.
  19. When is the right time to switch to tensors or hybrids?

I think that if you have started developing technique with this setup, and if you feel that something is missing. You need more speed, spin or control.... Then go for something similar to what you already have, but something that could give a little more of what you miss in the current setup...
