  1. Any midpriced carbon blades? (Around $90 - 120)

Tbh the best fast mid price will depend on what carbon type you want: ALC imo is V14 pro by Yinhe as it's a faster viscariaZLC would be Persson WC89 by DonicPure Carbon my favourite is Donic waldner legend carbon. Because I'm a Hinoki outer fan but basically any thick cored carbon blade with an...
  2. First blade opinions

I would say get a 5 ply OFF- blade and two focus snipe 3 and hit under 100usd no issue
  3. WTT Champions (European Summer Series 2022)

IMO the CNT need to retire LGY from international competition. Albeit that he is a beast he just cannot bring himself to actually win anything. But the issue is that he is amazing at beating Chinese players in the early rounds so he represents a real threat that he could knock out his fellow...
  4. Loop technique of dense sponge vs porous sponge

Not for me. I used everything and the only rubber I found brush looped much harder than others were: Hiromi M - so non grippy it just couldnt get grip Yes they require a slightly different technique but thats about it. But whats more important is what fits you. I hate Fastarc G-1 on my backhand...
  5. Very clever business.

Duke look at the life times for incandescent bulbs over the years. At one point it got up to 10,000 and now it's down to 3000. IT may be very expensive to design failure rates to be high in a specific way but it can also triple your profit at the same time for decades. there is a documentary...
  6. Carbon vs Wood

In the last four thread I read he has nothing but trolling so he goes on the ignore list. I recommend it. As to the questions. I like 3+2 ALC best but normal carbon with Hinoki outer is also nice. I don't mind outer or inner. I use inner because I'm not amazing and it helps my play a bit to...
  7. Butterfly Quality Broken blade after 20 hours of play

Tbh you can't trust anyone. Even butterfly can check if the serial is real but the fakers use a real serial number often and just use the same one a thousand times. The usual answer is if it plays well and has good finishing quality then it's butterfly. My 3 butterfly blades felt amazingly well...
  8. Butterfly Quality Broken blade after 20 hours of play

That is not a crack? It looks like a gouge. do you have any better photos I'm finding it hard to see how a topspin damaged the handle but it possible that it's just blurred a bitAlso when this is second hand did it come with a defect that has just deteriorated or did it look new then this...
  9. What are you playing now?

DDead cells is very underrated. I only got to three cells but it's a great game of it's style. At the moment I'm only playing smite and elden ring tho
  10. Offensive players do you prefer inner or outer carbon and why?

If we are including rude players I think every single one in my club uses outer carbon. Except meI will rock up to the club with a shirt on that says 草泥says in five languages and play with inner carbonLike the final boss of asshattery
  11. Offensive players do you prefer inner or outer carbon and why?

Inner. I love outer too. but I'm not the best player in the world with a killer loop drive in every shot. I mostly rely on heavy spin but slowish looping to get the job done. I find outer helps my backhand blocking and speed but negatively impacts my spin (unless it's Hinoki outer) Therefore...
  12. Looking for high arc rubber

    It will drop faster tho
  13. Picking rubber philosophy

I mean to add. For beginner. Once you're great ten 05 was the best choice but Hexer Duro is a bit easier to use than g1
  14. Picking rubber philosophy

Andro Hexer Duro is a perfect JPEN rubber for single sided. it's softer than g1 so better for backhand and gives spin easier without driving into the ball so much. it was my favourite when I was picking up JPEN DOnt use sticky rubber as it makes backhand impossible.
  15. Uda Yukiya (Japan)

Imho most of the press outside of China is too hungry for a legend like JOW. they should celebrate the successes of their players rather than thinking one single good performance a year or two a year is more indicative of ability than unexpected losses. this has created a toxic culture...
  16. Is Fang Bo Carbon worth it?

Both your blades are very fast already. the FB2 basically has a lot more spin but is a lot slower. Especially on backhand. The V14pro is a faster viscaria and the TB ZLC is faster than a Viscaria and the original FB2 is slower than the VisThe FB2x is a bit faster but you loose flex for the...
  17. Spinny setup

Innerforce alc.s is spinnier than the normal innerforce and slower than a vis? Not sure it's any good tho
  18. Japanese Penhold Tactics + Advice

At a casual level learn sidespin. Serve long and try to punish the predictable returns. FOr the short game just practice. JPEN has an amazing short game but remember your only big weapon is forehand topspin so your whole game needs to be around thinking how to get them to let you hit a...
  19. Gender clash piff-paff

I would love to see pitchford Vs sys or cm. Sounds like great fun
  20. Butterfly blades - the whole truth!

So assuming that the blade weighs 85g how much do the handles and intermediate and top ply weigh. If you say only 4g extra then it must be about 10g
