  1. Europe Smash 2026, Malmö, 8/8-16

I don’t see that many changes between 0–7 and 8–8. Perhaps the two banana flips with more spin that Sora placed over the table? At his level, they’re not really the hardest shots to return, are they? Sora lost the match purely for psychological reasons, something that’s lingered from the past...
  2. Europe Smash 2026, Malmö, 8/8-16

From 0–7 to 11–8, Tomo barely scored one single point (9-8) in my view. Sora really threw it away with all those other baffling errors. Set 7 is simply the psychological fallout from set 6. It’s quite funny that he says in the interview that he kept fighting in set 6… if I’d been handed...
  3. Looking for Lightweight Rubber Recommendations

I’d stick with Andro. They have a range of rubbers that aren’t very heavy (Hexer Grip SFX for example). Gewo also has a few, such as the Hype series. If you stick to rubbers with a hardness of under 45°, you’ll benefit from your setup.
  4. Europe Smash 2026, Malmö, 8/8-16

If you analyse just the highlights, you’ll easily spot at least 15 points where Tomo either doesn’t react at all to his forehand or reacts too late. In other words, if you want to beat Tomo, that’s where your advantage lies. Sora can do this because he’s faster than TH and, as a left-hander, can...
  5. Europe Smash 2026, Malmö, 8/8-16

Indeed, for someone without a forehand, that’s remarkable!
  6. Europe Smash 2026, Malmö, 8/8-16

Tomo’s forehand has indeed improved a lot, but I still notice a slight lack of responsiveness from his backhand to his forehand. As a left-hander in particular, you should be able to exploit this easily when you’re name is Sora. Hit three balls to Tomo’s backhand and then a sharp shot to his...
  7. Europe Smash 2026, Malmö, 8/8-16

    So many unforced errors!🤷‍♂️
  8. Europe Smash 2026, Malmö, 8/8-16

    I can’t believe it...
  9. Europe Smash 2026, Malmö, 8/8-16

In my opinion, Soro is a much more complete player than Tomo. If he’d given it a bit of thought, there wouldn’t be seven sets to play...
  10. What happened to Darker?

So Hinoki from other regions has a higher specific gravity?
  11. Europe Smash 2026, Malmö, 8/8-16

    All lefty’s in power! 💪 (Lind & Kuo same)😬
  12. What happened to Darker?

Not so long ago, a new 2026 catalogue was posted online: http://www.darker.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/%E3%83%80%E3%83%BC%E3%82%AB%E3%83%BC%E3%82%AB%E3%82%BF%E3%83%AD%E3%82%B02026.pdf
  13. Europe Smash 2026, Malmö, 8/8-16

No, not really. He clearly signalled that he had doubts about the throwing angle. I think Fang Bo really ought to go and have a look at the Eiffel Tower and the Leaning Tower of Pisa...:D
  14. European Youth Table Tennis Championships-2026 (10 – 19 July 2026)

Danilo Faso! 15 years old! Remember this name!
  15. Thread about Japanese Players

Haruna Ojio is set to play for the Greek champions, Panathinaikos, in the new season. If this is indeed the case, she will be a team-mate of, Katharina Toliou, Ioanna Gerasimatou and Nikoleta Stefanova.
  16. Non-tacky maximum spin but minimum speed rubber

A Hype XT Pro 40.0 isn’t particularly fast. It is fairly soft (though not as soft as a Rakza 7, a Hexer Grip SFX, on the other hand, is a fraction harder than the Hype XT Pro 40), but the Gewo does offer plenty of grip and control.
  17. Non-tacky maximum spin but minimum speed rubber

I’d take a look at Gewo – specifically the Hype XT (Pro) or perhaps even the KR-Pro series. I’ve played with a Hype XT Pro 40.0 for years and have been very happy with it, but for you I’d consider a 50.0 or the KR-Pro 47.5°.
  18. SDC Handmade Blades

Andro used to have a blade that she would heat up first. It was an Andro Temper Tech All+ and weighed just 76gr. It was one of the best all-wood blades I’ve ever owned.
