  1. Worst names of table tennis rubbers?

Absolute worst: 1) Victas — the naming is totally confusing, and the models sound bad. I bet even the brand fans can get confused about their product line. 2) Donic — unless you deliberately study their product names, you can't tell these apart, let alone know their qualities. 3) Joola — their...
  2. The best Table Tennis Rubber that money can buy right now

H3 Neo National, both blue and orange.
  3. Should I boosted H3 blue provincial 40 degrees in this era?

Just use another booster then. I also couldn't play with my H3 Blue National after boosting it with Haifu--for me, this booster is too aggressive, doesn't raise the ball trajectory, doesn't soften the rubber, it just adds CRAZY SPEED. I use Falco Tempo Long--it adds little speed but softens the...
  4. Looking for an extremely tacky rubber.

Just go with H3 and pray that it's tacky. Even if that isn't tacky, you will at least get a strong speed/spin of the H3. My less tacky H3N samples were more aggressive and produced better "killer shots", while the tackier versions had more control and accuracy. My experience in the last 15...
  5. Anders Lind’s new blade: “Donic Anders Lind Hexa Carbon” question, please review it if you use it

Is the blade good for strawberries, chop-blocks, weird pushes, snakes, and pancakes? :) Cuz it feels like I rarely see top-spin attacks from Anders, don't how how it fits the regular style :D
  6. 27th ITTF-Asian Table Tennis Championships 2024, Astana, 10/7-13

What a cheap argument about nationality. It has nothing to do with the fact that he is from CNT. WCQ's serve is really dirty, he often serves on top of the table, even his pendulum is hidden, especially against right-handed players (which are like 95% of opponents). Don't even wanna get into...
  7. Large Hands And Flared Handles

As a tall dude with large hands myself (6.2), I still prefer FL handles as they are slightly bigger than their ST counterparts (usually ST blades weight 3-4 grams less due to smaller handles). Also, an ST handle feels less secure during play sessions, as I feel it's gonna drop during powerful...
  8. Why is Ma Long so good?

I think, you're picking too small of the RPM sample. Pretty sure that even Ovtcharov and Lind landed balls with 7-8k RPM. But ye, I think ML had consistently the biggest numbers coming close to 9k RMP. So it's fair to say ML is the best because his topspin RPM "is over 9000!" ;)
  9. China Smash 2024, Beijing, 9/26-10/6

Indeed, it felt like the match swung into Anton's favor in the decider... until LSD started serving a hidden shovel, which Anton missed like 5 in a row. Funnily enough, seeing dirty serves from LSD, Anton started to serve a hidden shovel himself and almost caught up. Still, I feel LSD's shovel...
  10. Why is Ma Long so good?

Best forehand in history, maybe Ryu Seung Min could compete. Excellent short game. Mental fortitude (World Cup performance showed he still got it in 2024).
  11. Aliexpress Singles Day 2024

Hurricane 8 38d for backhand. Jupiter 3 39d National Blue for forehand. Rxton 9 39d for whatever.
  12. Lightweight rubber for backhand

It's realistic, but the difference is drastic. I am sure that only a soft tensor rubber can weigh slightly above 40g. I would say Rasarter R42 is a good candidate for a light backhand rubber.
  13. Which Hurricane 3 version?

I think the modern game dictated the need to reduce tackiness. It's much more speed-focused nowadays, and it feels like semi-tackiness is the most optimal surface for 2024, whether it's Dignics, Hurricane, K3, NUZN, BlueGrip, etc. Even my beloved Jupiter 2/3 lost their tackiness in the latest...
  14. Which Hurricane 3 version?

I still don't understand why the "increased tackiness" was beneficial for you. The only real advantage I see is immense grip, but modern less-tacky Hurricanes also have incredible grip and allow you to lift underspin from the floor. All of my 5 sheets of H3N I had from late 2023 to 2024 (2...
  15. Which Hurricane 3 version?

I don't get why people miss extreme tackiness. My first H3 was an extremely tacky Commercial version and although it was easy to put a ball on a table, the extreme tackiness slowed the ball by a ton. Nowadays, as an H3Neo Blue-Nat user (boosting with Kailin), I can surely say it grips the ball...
  16. Has anyone tried The DHS PG5X?

This is why I said PG5X has very little in common with TB and Korbel. TB is a fast outer carbon, while Korbel is a wooden blade, and PG5X is inner carbon—they are all very different, imo. Technically, PG5X is closer to Korbel in terms of vibration feel and handle, but they are still vastly...
  17. Has anyone tried The DHS PG5X?

PG5X is an excellent blade but it has little in common with the 2 blades you mentioned. PG5X is a flexible inner carbon blade with 2 soft layers of outer wood. Pretty fast, produces good spin, for me it's pretty similar to Fang Bo 2X, maybe slightly slower with more control.
  18. What's your favourite match?

Many of you have already posted some of my favorite matches, so I will only add this one:
  19. What butterfly blade should i get?

In my country, it's only 20% more expensive than Rozena which most people advise in this topic. So Butterfly is gonna be expensive either way, and it's unfriendly towards newer players. Which is why 15$ H3NEO is a better starting point, especially for developing forehand technique.
  20. Super alc

Holy Moly, I have never seen a heavier rubber. My two absolute champions are 2.2mm Hurricane 3 Neo Commercial (54g without glue) and Battle 2 (55g without glue) cut to a large DHS blade head. And even those two felt like bricks on my 89g blade, it was simply unplayable. Can't imagine how you...
