  1. Recommendation for 50 degrees hardness Rubber

Everything in that range might feel hard and unforgiving. The Mantra should feel closer to the MX-P as the Rhyzer is built to a different concept of thinner topsheet to enable thicker sponge. However I recommend you take a minute to think whether a "target hardness" of 50 degrees is right for...
  2. Is there a way to responsibly recycle dead rubbers?

How do you define 300 hours - actual usage, game play or time spent in the hall? I play exercises/multiball exclusively, 3 sessions of 1 1/2 hours each weekly, as per my preferences 2/3 backhand. With no interruptions and that many ball contacts the backhand rubber has 3 hours of actual usage...
  3. New Equipment (Rubbers & Blades) 2020

Funny you should say that. I am sending stuff to an ex club member in Sierra Leone and this young guy wants to help and give his old rubbers. He says "I will also encourage others" and I tell him I have stopped doing that actively, because I´ve too often seen people with batches of 20 rubbers...
  4. New Equipment (Rubbers & Blades) 2020

And maybe they´ll even want to join a club. Where the "proper" players will ignore them until they retreat to their garages and gardens. I hope it´s different in other countries, but in Germany the arrogance even of lowest league club players against "hobby" (yeah, what else is lower league?)...
  5. Andro releases Rasanter R53

What exactly was the disaster with t05? It should work well in short game due to relatively low catapult. Same goes for R53 - not bouncy at all, but with extreme spin and so much power away from the table. Despite its nominal hardness, it isn´t a beast that has to be tamed.
  6. Release date colored rubbers?

I´m with you here. But eventually someone will compare a green 2.0 mm rubber (which is actually 2.04) to a black 2.0 mm rubber (which is actually 1.91) and the difference will be HUGE and it´s all in the colour ;) And if, against all odds, pink would be the spinniest - would it change people´s...
  7. Release date colored rubbers?

That was the plan. With the Olympic Games postponed there might be other plans, or they stick to it and introduce the rubbers in 2021, after Tokyo. And this explains it well:
  8. Release date colored rubbers?

I´ve heard something similar. Also, read this: If the 2020 Annual General Meeting in Busan accepts the proposition, the ITTF Equipment Committee will co-ordinate efforts in order to develop a list of authorised colour combinations; specifications being submitted to the Board of Directors for...
  9. What is the best alternative for Tenergy 05?

100% true. Does not make it easier to pick other options for players who are used to the feel. Once you get past that, the field is wide open.
  10. # degree between Dignics09C and Dignics 05/80/64

They made the FX version of Spring Sponge and a harder version for t05 Hard in addition to the regular. Now Spring Sponge X comes in regular and hard (for D09) first, but FX of both is surely possible, and over time likely.
  11. New Equipment (Rubbers & Blades) 2020

andro Rasanter R48 Second rubber with energy cell sponge, which produces more spin while feeling softer than nominal degree. I expect something between R42 and R47 yet with slightly different charasterictics.
  12. Joola Aruna Off Substitute

Excellent blade if it still fits the "not so expensive" prerequisite.
  13. andro allwood blades

There is enough variation in blade production for you to find them below 90 grams. That said, none of the ones I have tried (Treiber FI and FO, Treiber CO) were really head heavy with 2 Rasanter rubbers (around 50 grams each with glue), no matter if they were above 90 grams or below.
  14. new Blade because of wrist problems

This, especially in combination with a head heavy blade, can also cause trouble. From that experience, I recommend visiting a shop and touching blades over studying values and categories. As for taking a break, it could help, if that is what a doctor recommends.
  15. new Blade because of wrist problems

Good point, and often overlooked. Everything else is also true, bigger heads need bigger rubbers, lighter rubbers can save effectively - but I just recently have compared two set ups with 195 grams each. One was a head heavy blade at 88 grams, with thicker glue layers on the rubbers. The other...
  16. Blade/Rubbers for 5yr old

    Yes, good option.
  17. Blade/Rubbers for 5yr old

If it´s not going to be Chinese, we gave Tibhar Rookie 1.8 mm to beginners, to progress via Rapid 2.0, then Genius, on Samsonov Premium Junior blades for the little ones and Premium Contact regular for larger hands/older kids. Persson/Waldner Youngstar is still available and Twingo or Liga...
  18. Andro Rasanter R53 vs butterfly dignics 05

I played with D05 shortly after its release and found the characteristics quite unusual, too. Hard feeling on frontal hits, topsheet starting to work on tangential hits. Not sure I´d like this. t05 Hard is just like a glass plate to me. I´ve had one for four weeks and I have another that has...
  19. Stiga Airoc Astro M Replacement?

I think the Mantra rubbers do everything a little bit better, spin more than a little bit. You might want to take a closer look at Mantra M.
  20. New Equipment (Rubbers & Blades) 2020

From what I read, there is a series called Vyzaryz Freeze (ALC) Hybrid (ALC/ZLC like Ice Cream) Trinity (combination of their PBO-C fibre with Carbon) Quite costly. Also 3 Santoru models with Kevlar Carbon and different outer veneers. And then two Xylo all wood blades, 5 ply with Hinoki outer...
