  1. New Equipment (Rubbers & Blades) 2020

They have several new blades coming as well.
  2. Sup. What's the difference between Hexer Grip and the Rasanter series?

Yes. Same should apply to R42 vs. Powergrip SFX in direct comparison. And luckily enough, not only "Ultimate Pros" buy (and can play with) R53, as in that case not many would be sold ;)
  3. Sup. What's the difference between Hexer Grip and the Rasanter series?

Good explanation. And, as for the question asked, an intermediate player may find it easier to generate spin with the Hexers, whereas the maximum spin level of the Rasanter series is higher, when activated by a more skilled player.
  4. Which is the best blade for a backhand dominante player?

I see these questions more and more. What is the best forehand rubber? Which blade for bluefire M1? etc. Yes, some combinations work better than others - but would they work better in any player´s hands? You can´t set up a table tennis racket the way an algorithm might, you need to feel it.
  5. control

Basically, control of your game. If you entend to mainly play topspin on both wings get rubbers that help you, so that you can enforce your game. Of course you´ll have to accept that you might find other shots a bit less easy to manage. That is the whole contradiction. Speed is absolute, spin...
  6. control

    Well said.
  7. Dimitrij Ovtcharov trying new blade against fan?

Look at how many Timo Boll blades there are, from pre-assembled hobby lines to the very popular ALC. History goes he played with Viscaria, then Boll Spirit, then Boll ALC, all quite similar. But they named so many others after him. Same story over at Donic with Swedish legends Waldner, Persson...
  8. Dimitrij Ovtcharov trying new blade against fan?

No you are not. Although with blades often it is more about selection (meaning the best of production series blades is chosen, 1 out of 20 or 50 or ...) than actual individual composition, the latter can be done. A thicker core or top veneer is easy - I am sure that often legend makes that...
  9. Dimitrij Ovtcharov trying new blade against fan?

It happened before, in 2017 with t05. The head to head is 2-3. Fan´s game is a lot better for Ovtcharov than Ma Long´s, for which he has a solid nil to 17 regardless of rubber. ;)
  10. Dimitrij Ovtcharov trying new blade against fan?

Actually, he did appear at a German Butterfly store with an Innerforce ALC quite similar to the Harimoto, also with slightly enlarged head, and a thicker core. But all of these official appearances will not stop speculations, for a good enough reason. The Donic charade went on for too long.
  11. Dimitrij Ovtcharov trying new blade against fan?

The ever changing material. Or ever changing info. On the German website it says custom ALC and both sides Dignics 05. So much for "official". Especially in this man´s case ;)
  12. German Open 2020

Pretty sure, and Ovtcharov had it also when he visited the Butterfly store in Berlin recently.
  13. Under €40 but is it any good? | Xiom Vega X Review

What I find interesting: according to your signature you play Dignics 80 on the other side. On a German forum, people currently compare Vega X and D80, find them similar and even prefer the Vega, and that just not because of the cheaper price. You do not seem to think they are similar at all...
  14. Under €40 but is it any good? | Xiom Vega X Review

Wouldn´t that be Mark V HPS, with a massively tuned sponge?
  15. Under €40 but is it any good? | Xiom Vega X Review

Oh, not only in the short game, all over the game ... Happened to me when I was young, I played an agressive game with allround blade and 1,5 mm rubbers. Heaven forbid trying 2.0. In retrospect, and looking at how my game has changed after a long break with thicker tensor rubbers (I gained...
  16. Andro releases Rasanter R53

Possible, since the topsheet is the same on all 4 Hexers. It might be the odd one out, true ...
  17. Under €40 but is it any good? | Xiom Vega X Review

But isn´t a video review quasi ideal for you to see most of this yourself? I find this conclusion very worthwile: For a budget rubber, it´s really good, but don´t expect it to rival the top of the range. Fair enough. In this respect, I value XIOM´s own positioning of Vega and Omega series...
  18. What are the Best Stiga Rubbers For Speed and Spin?

Compared to the Mantra rubbers, Calibra Sound is too soft. Calibra Plus, as an older Made In Japan rubber, performs quite well - but I think you´re better off with what you have. Genesis is a Chinese/hybrid type of rubber, which you may find a bit too slow in comparison to Mantra, and Airoc will...
