Yep, I do this regularly but I also have developed the habit of not cutting the rubber too close to the wood after gluing it on. After boosting, the rubbers often swell up a bit too and this will it make even easier to place the rubbers again onto the blade.

Some real nice blades can be had on the cheap but buying pre-made cheapies is the perfect way of buying complete crap. I recommended the above cheap rubbers not only because they are cheap but because for the money they are of surprising quality.
