  1. How does the US TT rating work?

I've heard it's like chess elo, so is the higher number a higher ranked player like in chess?
  2. Hello from California!

    Welcome to the family!❤️
  3. Do Butterfly blades have hollow handles?

I bought a new viscaria a few days ago, I'm guessing it has a whole handle right?
  4. Do Butterfly blades have hollow handles?

Oh hell no, I've got 2 and they're both perfect. I'm not touching them ever😂
  5. Do Butterfly blades have hollow handles?

I'm just curious because Stiga uses some form of hollow handle on most of their models, with the WRB variations being even more carved out. Does Butterfly do anything similar?
  6. DHS Gold Arc 8 vs. Fastarc G1 vs. Rakza 7?

Goldarc 8 has a classic german catapult feel, pretty direct, with a good amount of spin, countering is easy and lifting opening up backspin needs a bit of effort, but it has tons of spin when brushing a lot. Not the fastest rubber. G1 feels harder but has higher arc and more grip, also more...
  7. Can anybody recommend a blade that is both controllable at the table and fast further from the table?

Yeah, that would explain it... I find the viscaria works with hurricane and tenergy. But for tenergy especially, when new it has a hard feeling, you can't really feel the grip of the rubber, but within 1 month the rubber softens a bit and starts to play more sweetly. Then after 6 months to a...
  8. Can anybody recommend a blade that is both controllable at the table and fast further from the table?

Viscaria is soft though, unless you played it when it was brand new with new rubbers. After a while it breaks in and gets nice and soft. I just got my second one, sure it's hard, but it'll get much better
  9. Can anybody recommend a blade that is both controllable at the table and fast further from the table?

I tried a friend's inner zlc with t05 fx and t64, I liked it quite a bit, it has a higher arc than my viscaria but also a nice holding feeling. Until the carbon kicks in and drops the trajectory with good speed. As for the mizutani slzc, it's pretty sensitive from what I hear, I don't think...
  10. Can anybody recommend a blade that is both controllable at the table and fast further from the table?

Good luck dude, my pick is the Viscaria, there's nothing that balances speed, control and feeling like it. If you want something softer the Innerforce ZLC or Ovcharov Innerforce ALC will be good picks. Maybe a Mizutani ZLC with the thick limba outer?
  11. Is glue supposed to be thick like yogurt?

I like the normal bty free chack glue. Soft and easy to remove. Also because it's soft it sticks well and gives elasticity to the rubber. It's a playing matter for me, I want it to play good.
  12. Is glue supposed to be thick like yogurt?

Yeah, I just learned that the hard way... Thank god I first tested it on my spare setup
  13. Is glue supposed to be thick like yogurt?

I just got bty free chack pro ii, I was used to donic glue and bty free chack that are very liquid. But this is very thick, almost like yogurt.
  14. Rubber for recreation

Xiom Vega Europe and Europe DF(softer and grippier) are very popular choices. They are decently fast but easy to control and are very popular with beginners and intermediates.
  15. How to fix missing damaged top ply, heavy splintering or a heavy hit/dent to the side of the blade.

Because of the nature of this method being simplistic and focused around practicality only, the blade is not gonna look good when finished. The purpose of it is to reinforce the structure, get it even, straight and get it playing how it used to before getting damaged. 0 - If the blade has lost...
  16. Blade damage opinion w968 provincial

Don't seal it. I've fixed a couple of my blades with my viscaria being my greatest save. 1 - Take off the rubbers and put even pressure on the point of contact from the 2 faces of the racket. I would recommend a wood press or if you can't find anything like that, then get a plastic mallet and...
  17. Esn sponge thickness?

The red rubber has shrinked quite a bit. Keep in mind that it's a 3d object and shrinking from the factory tuning will take effect on all 3 axis. So the red rubber got squished making it smaller, and thinner. Some falco should give it a breath of fresh air, keep it alive for a bit longer.
  18. Thinking about switching to Boll ALC

That's what I have in mind and I'm unsure of. I'll probably just get another viscaria, I'll take mine to the shop to weigh it and get the closest they have, so that I don't do any big changes mid season, and when I'm done I'll take a leap and go for the boll alc. Money isn't really an issue...
  19. Thinking about switching to Boll ALC

I guess that's good though because there's some stability in production.
