  1. I bought a Viscaria as a begginer. Here's what it did to me and my thoughts on the subject.

My old one is s series and new is x. Same blade, but the old one has been broken in for a long time and it's gotten nice and soft. Years of gluing, once speed glued a rozena, and a bunch of Chinese rubbers that I liked to add more glue, so it softened up real nice.
  2. What's this cheap glue?

So it won't expand the rubber at all? Nor damage it in any way?
  3. What's this cheap glue?

How's it so cheap? 15€ for 250ml while normal glue is 20€ for 120ml. Does it damage wood or something? Maybe the rubber?
  4. What's this cheap glue?

I'm blind😂 Would this be fine to use off-season? Or even normally? How long would it take to fully air it out to be fine to use in competition? Would it do damage to the rubber in use or the blade? How would the effect be on Chinese and European rubbers?
  5. Why do people say LP's should be banned?

I see, today's players, especially younger ones, wouldn't have any familiarity with the old ball. Serve and recieve would be a complete annihilation and the length of the sets would require different tactics and overall strategy. Maybe that's why the oldies played a bit slower game, to maintain...
  6. What's this cheap glue?

I'm putting an order in and saw this glue, 250ml for only 15€. What's the catch? Is it speed glue? They have as "normal glue".
  7. Why do people say LP's should be banned?

I don't think it's the athletes themselves that are changing. But the techniques and training methods themselves. Nowadays the game requires more power to generate the same speed that 25 years ago was much easier to produce. Man I love this site, you can have conversation without arguing...
  8. Why do people say LP's should be banned?

The players you're talking about have also evolved. Take a 20yo Timo and put him up against a 20yo harimoto. That's my argument. Players nowadays become strong a lot quicker.
  9. Why do people say LP's should be banned?

Harimoto also beat ma long a few years ago, what's that supposed to prove? I won't lie, harimoto is on course for no1, he's chasing it. He's young and is still nowhere near the peak of his career.
  10. Why do people say LP's should be banned?

When was the last time Calderano lost to Timo? Samsonov was beat by ovcharov, that also beats Timo consistently, chuang also is pretty obsolete, this year he did do pretty good though. Korbel is completely obsolete, he's old, maze would be another story of he still played though.

  12. Why do people say LP's should be banned?

I think it would be different, players would figure out the weaknesses of the old playstyle and would train to best them. Staying closer to the table, etc.
  13. Why do people say LP's should be banned?

Imagine Calderano playing against a '98 Ma Lin. It's not even funny, Ma Lin would be looking for a pillow to hide under. These players make the new ball go with old ball speeds, now imagine all of that power put in the 38mm. IF it didn't shatter on impact then it would be a nightmare for the old...
  14. ITTF/WTT problems reported from players

It's not about being capitalistic or distribution of prize money. It's that these mfs don't put themselves in the players shoes, by the time they realise what they did wrong they will be chased out of the office with pitchforks.
  15. Why do people say LP's should be banned?

Rubbers have also gotten better, but again the players. Imagine if ma long played with the skillset and power he had in 2015-16. People wouldn't be talking about kreanga, primorac and ma lin and wang liqin.
  16. Why do people say LP's should be banned?

The players would've worked with the companies and made rubbers that gave them an advantage. Now there are dignics 09c and hybrid k3, who knows what kind of rubbers we'd have if we still had the 38mm. Probably rubbers much less sensitive to spin where it would allow attackers to rip the ball...
  17. I bought a Viscaria as a begginer. Here's what it did to me and my thoughts on the subject.

I used to play it years ago, I don't like my new one right now because it just feels too hard and the ball flies too much. But I know how it's gonna be in a few months time due to my experience with my old one. It needs some time to break in and soften up, it's gonna take some years to fully...
  18. Xuperman Powerplay-x: A Rubber by Xu Xin

I have normal edition. It desperately needs boosting. Even though it does play fine without boosting, it feels dampened. I'm not gonna though because I'm out of booster and I'm not putting baby oil on that🥲
  19. Why do people say LP's should be banned?

Even with the old ball it would be the same. People learned to take initiative like the Chinese did back in the day, now the game is faster than ever because the players are better than ever.
  20. I bought a Viscaria as a begginer. Here's what it did to me and my thoughts on the subject.

I'm not selling my baby. I already bought a new one too.
