  1. New site layout

Looks weird in Google Chrome and Firefox on both Windows and Linux - the spacing between post titles in the Latest Posts section is too wide.
  2. Korea Open 2014 - Videos -

Thanks for the videos, MrThePortal - I'm enjoying ITTF's youtube channel much more since you took it over :-)
  3. Butterfly TB ALC,Viscaria,TBS

Depends on what type of feel and handle shape you prefer. These blades are relatively similar. Viscaria has probably the softest feel of the three. Many people say that Timo Boll ALC is somewhat more balanced than the TBS as far as weight distribution is concerned. Many others say that TBS has...
  4. No spin in serves

Probably not enough brushing, and thus the contact with the ball is too solid. Stop trying to generate a lot of spin with your current serve motions, and concentrate instead on barely grazing the ball with the topsheet (and not the sponge!!!), making sure that the contact point is as far away...
  5. Anyone used an Adidas Blade?

I've got an Adidas Hypertouch (with Adidas Tenzone Ultra on FH/BH) as my backup bat. Blade has perfect workmanship, plays and feels kinda like a BTY Viscaria. Basically, it is quality stuff.
  6. Hardest tensor rubber

Oh yeah, Xiom Tau feels like a brick when playing.
  7. Can anyone suggest an allwood blade that has good dwell time

    OSP Virtuoso OFF-.
  8. Suggestions or Opinions? :)

    Lacking both speed and control?
  9. Suggestions or Opinions? :)

Playing style is determined by the shots you make, and much less by equipment you use! So keep your current blade and practice looping!
  10. notifications won't go away

    Excellent!
  11. notifications won't go away

Anyone else having problems with notifications that won't go away even after reading them? I've got a red "1" next to the "globe" icon (to the left of the "Welcome, vvk1", and it just won't clear.
  12. Table Tennis Master's DVDs

I bought all 4 dvd's a few years ago. They cover all the basics - for someone who fancies developing themselves into an aggressive chinese-style shakehand player. The content emphasizes drills, not tactics. IMHO, the videos from PingSkills or from Brian Pace let alone ttedge are more useful.
  13. Stiga to release new blue sponge rubber?

Looks like it's working on at least one person ;)
  14. Spinniest/best rubber you know?

Both T05 and H3 Neo are very decent rubbers in the right hands. IMHO, the end result - the spin, the arc, the kick off the bounce, and speed of a shot are far less dependent on the rubber being used and are directly dependant on the technique/skill of the player using it. For example, based on...
  15. Recording games/practise.

If you're a righty and serve from the left corner, then one good place is the far right corner. The opposite works for a lefty. Another good place to place the camera is somewhat to the left or to the right of the umpire's seat, but be sure the viewing angle includes a couple of meters away...

  20. Problem generating topspin with Tibhar MX-P

Poor Samsonov must be reading this thread and thinking "I'd better get Tibhar come up with something that's more spinny than MX-P" :-) Seriously guys, playing with MX-P is like playing with short pips? WTF. If you are having difficulties generating spin when looping with MX-P, don't blame the...
