  1. Nittaku Genextion is out

Damn, i thought i could settle on my equipment, but unfortunately Nittakus latest rubber is now available on tabletennis11.com https://www.tabletennis11.com/other_eng/nittaku-genextion I guess it's time to setup my second blade with it.
  2. Should we forgive such a serve?

I think you can. Did you see the glasses of the opponent fly away? An enemy not able to see can't continue and will forfeit
  3. Should we forgive such a serve?

Tossing the ball too low will not allow much spin to be generated, so the only advantage they got from it is higher consistency, since this makes hitting the ball way easier. There is pretty much only one way to answer this serve with a special serve by your own:
  4. DHS H3 vs Yasaka Rakza Z

I have switched to K3 on the forehand in the meanwhile, but still took your advice to hit through the incoming topspin ball. This leads to an issue though: the old technique with a very closed bat would lead me to "outspinning" the opponent so that his shot or block would go wide. Now with the...
  5. DHS H3 vs Yasaka Rakza Z

Rakza Z is notnsimilar to Rozena in the slightest, but it is way more grippy, even tacky and will last longer.
  6. How to judge ball length?

Don't do big swinging ever. If it is long and slow it is easy to hit the ball with a short stroke as well. If it is long and fast you will not have enough time to do a big backswing neither. So what is left ? Half-Long balls that bounce on the middle of your table side can be looped or flipped...
  7. Xiom Vega Pro H

Just no. Hybrid M can be faster than Vega Pro H and Hybrid H is definitely faster. What is good with the Hybrid H is, that it is very controlled in the short game and you don't accidently activate the catapult of the sponge if you don't want to. Hybrid M has less spin then the vega Pro h
  8. transfer training into competition

how long does he actually play table tennis for ?
  9. Xiom Vega Pro H

The name is wrong. It is called "Xiom Vega Pro H" and even though it is saying "china hybrid" on the packaging it is NOT really remotely playing like a tacky chinese rubber with a tensor sponge. It is a more controlled/slow Vega Pro with slight tackiness. That is all about it. It is worlds apart...
  10. Want to improve need Feedback!

I don't know, but perhaps you should ask professional high jumpers how efficient it is. They only jump off of one leg, probably because they don't want to jump too high, right ;)
  11. Want to improve need Feedback!

You can loop the topspin or blocked balls the same way you loop backspin balls if you let them fall enough, but it is not the most efficient. Can you make a video of you exercising against backspin, then block and then against topspin? 10 attempts should be enough to compare.
  12. Want to improve need Feedback!

@Zezima I really would not change rubbers yet and try to fix the problem by adjusting the power you use while looping. If you really need to change rubbers and want something spinny but less fast (which would reduce the length of your loops) you could try the new Xiom Vega Pro H which is really...
  13. Want to improve need Feedback!

That sounds like awesome progress. Now you just need to make this your default topspin stroke without needing to actively think about it. Give it a few month and it will be ingrained enough.
  14. Xiom new collection (2024)

This is simply wrong. The Vega Pro H is very controlled like the regular Vega Pro just with a slightly sticky modern topsheet. This is a rubber that will not turn a lot of heads, because it is so close the the classic Vega Pro.
  15. Tibhar MX-D vs. Stiga DNA Hybrid (or Platinum) M or H?

Mx-d and stiga dna hybrid m and H are in totally different categories. Mx-d is a total power housem while the hybridm is a very controlled rubber that you will not blast anyone off the table with.
  16. DHS H3 vs Yasaka Rakza Z

that is one of the disadvantages of a very high throw rubber. If you counter spin you have to close the bat angle alot and that makes it easier to hit the edge of your blade at times. That is one thing i disliked about the Rakza Z. At times i had to basically hit it above shoulder level if the...
  17. DHS H3 vs Yasaka Rakza Z

I am not intending to become a smasher like Gozo at all. I would like to outspin the opponent much rather, but from my coaches perspective I can understand that outspinning the opponent will introduce a natural plateau/ceiling where opponents won't care about the amount of spin, if the shot is...
  18. DHS H3 vs Yasaka Rakza Z

Regarding the topic of bottoming out the Rakza Z I had a discussion with my coach. When doing drills with the Rakza Z on the forehand my coach asked me if I even had a proper blade, because relative to what I put into my strokes, there was not as much oomph as he would have expected. The spin...
  19. Want to improve need Feedback!

Without watching the full video i find it very hard to estimate what and where he hits the ball really (regardless of hip rotation utilization). The video angle is aweful to guess what he does (at the moment you point to) and i don't know what kind of rubber he does. If i take any high level...
  20. Want to improve need Feedback!

i made to depictions of a ball coming at you from the right. The shifted rectangles symbolize your stroke. (blue image) If the stroke has a very shallow angle there are not many points at the flight curve of the incoming ball where you can effectively hit it and still make sure you hit it...
