You can check beforehand. The Yinhe rubbers that come with glue preapplied are the ones that come with an "extra film" on the sponge side. I usually glue a lot of rubbers and those are my favourites exactly for that reason. I don't have to wait for the glue to dry on the rubber XD

Those 2 rubbers you mentioned already come with glue from the fabric. That's why they don't "eat up" a lot of glue. Have you tried only aplying glue to the blade?

I use 39 degrees. Can't think of a reason to go with the harder ones.

I've been using the Big Dipper Pro Blue Sponge without booster for around a year (I've changed it once) and I would say it's the best rubber I've used. I get a lot of consistency and more than enough speed. And I'm using it on a 7-ply all wood blade, so it's not the blade that's giving me the speed.

I found Moon Speed 53 harder in general, but faster. It's a little more difficult to engage and have slow loops, so I like it more for the forehand. But it's pretty nice there.

My vote is for the Mercury 2. Pretty sure you can buy in bulk to get an even better price. And it's far better than any pre-made.

Naa, they are just different. MS53 is definitely harder and it shows when you hit. I like it better for forehand. M12 is softer and allows for easier engagement of the topsheet. But it's not worlds apart, they are on the "same scale", I would say.
