  1. hitting net a lot after boosting hurricane 3

It mainly sip into the sponge, but the residue oil on top of the sponge does evaporate, abeit slowly. Direct contact with the oil will ruin the glue, afaik.
  2. hitting net a lot after boosting hurricane 3

Try remove the glue from the sponges and then reglue. A lot of time the oil sip into the sponge and not fully evaporate, potentially damage the glue and give inconsistent feeling when you play.
  3. Stiga inspira plus

Yeah, I prefer softer feeling in blades. You could check out rakuten, they do have international forwarding services and the Inspira Plus is usually around $70 there.
  4. Stiga inspira plus

I like it better than the Viscaria tbh. They're very similar, but the Inspira Plus is a tad softer with a better dwell time. If it's possible, try to order it from Japan. It's way cheaper over there compared to other places for reasons that I don't know, lol.
  5. Post your latest EJ purchase

I have since moved on to 41 deg on the BH side. It took me a couple of months to adjust to the H3 on BH, but simply put, it's the best BH rubber for me now. Only down side is my strokes have to be correct all the time. Here is a video of me playing with 41 deg H3 on BH, I'm the guy in blue shirt.
  6. Post your latest EJ purchase

Bitten by the EJ bug again. Waited long enough for Xiom to release a TMXi blade without player's name on it. A bit disappointed with the finishing, though. The core is thicker than the usual W968 structure, so my expectation is kinda low already. This could be my 2nd and last Xiom inner carbon...
  7. Handle Material

I asked Sergio to make me a handle incorporating some stabilized wood and couldn't be happier about it. It's beautiful, near impossible to get dirty from sweat, and essentially have the same benefits as the plastic parts inside the Viscaria Golden handle. Couldn't recommend it enough.
  8. Some questions about Edge tape, Gluing, impacts on gameplay

I play away from the table so hitting the table is not a concern, but I still use some carbon fiber edge tapes from Gewo/Yasaka that adds like 2g to the racket, making it a bit more head-heavy while looking kinda cool. Personally, I think this is a very practical way to micro-adjust the balance...
  9. The Pro's Equipment - Discussion!

I don't think we'll ever get that comparison unless BTY change their mind and release the rubber. It's been 2+ years now since the prototypes, so I kinda doubt it.
  10. The Pro's Equipment - Discussion!

Tenergy 09C has been a round for a while, at least 2 years, before Zyre 03 went into LARC. Here is a pic of Timo Boll using it. Not sure why it's not made available to the public, though. Maybe they don't need anything between D09C and G09C
  11. How much do ping pong coaches charge per hour, where you live?

~2.5 BigMac/h for my area. Dirt cheap imo.
  12. STIGA New cybershape: CYBERSHAPE WAVY

I have the cybershape one. It's not as fast as Stiga claims, a bit thick, good feedback, but that's it. There is nothing special about this blade for me, honestly.
  13. Lightweight alternative to the Butterfly Ovtcharov ALC Blade

Honestly, sand papers and elbow grease would be the best option here. Cheap and precisely gives what you want.
  14. Who are the players you enjoy watching the most? and least?

I like flair players and BH dominant players. My favorites to watch, in no particular order: Waldner Truls Koki Niwa Kenta Matsudaira Gauzy Xu Xin Kreanga Oh Sang Eun Zhang Jike Fan Zhendong Lin Shidong Joo Sae Huyk Koji Matsushita Honoka Hashimoto Least favorite to watch: myself. Every time...
  15. Just for fun

Not so serious answer: Viscaria Golden Serious answer: Viscaria Golden
  16. 3rd ball attack feedback

You need to hit the ball at soon at it starts dropping. Currently you let the ball drop too low, that's why you have to waste a lot of power lifting it up. Don't step too far away from the table right after the serve, unless you anticipate the opponent would loop/flick your serves. Work on your...
  17. Do Stiga make something extremely similar to Butterfly Innerforce ALC

It's a pity for sure, as the Surge is a very nice blade, both playing and finishing wise. It's available in Taiwan and Vietnam as well, but I don't understand why they don't sell it worldwide. Same with the Inspira Plus.
  18. Do Stiga make something extremely similar to Butterfly Innerforce ALC

Stiga Surge Hybrid Carbon is the closest thing to Innerforce ALC that Stiga has, just not sure about its availability in your local market, though. The Aura carbon layers are closer to the top plies compared to Innerforce/Surge's.
  19. Finally have the courage to post my match plays

Sorta, I guess. Today I had the pleasure to play against a really nice Korean guy, and his wife was filming us. Got the videos from her and here are some of the nice points during our match. I am the guy in the blue shirt. Faces blurred for privacy reasons. I lost 3-2, btw.
  20. Interview with Chris Doran by Howard

I still vividly remember the BUCS Individual Final where Chris beat Daniel Reed. I couldn't get my head around how someone Chris's size could move so fast and play with so much elegance. I later was lucky enough to play against Reed in another competition and was completely humbled. The...
