Tickets only sold at the venue, I learned today from an article. HTH.
  2. Difference between Hurricane Long 5, Viscaria, Nittaku acoustic carbon

Hi America from the UK :). If you look around among chinese pros, forehand oriented players all use Long 5 or a variant, backhand oriented players use viscaria. I think the acoustic carbon is a different animal. Great feeling, but suits a different style. hth.
  3. Proposed Increase in Net Height!

IMO Increasing the net heights will again take away some of the spin and finesse from the game. They made the game a lot less spinny by changing the ball. I expect less short game and more long serves to get the rally started right away with a higher net, which will reduce the complexity of...
  4. Proposed Increase in Net Height!

Because change has to happen for the good, not for ruining what has been good so far. Need more spectators? Develop a software that tracks ball trajectory with glowing purple line, gives spectators an estimate of speed and spin ratios, report statistics during the match of which player uses...
  5. My version of Ma long serve

Those serves look good! What I noticed is that your wrist looks stiff, it should be relaxed and you should do a whip-like motion with the forearm+wrist to get more delicate contact but the same acceleration.

  9. Slo-mo demo: Forehand spinny loop

    Like! Great tutorials, thanks.
  10. Anyone knows of Nittaku DHS hurricane 3?

compared to the prov h3, the topsheet feels less tacky (not that important) and harder. being harder makes using the sponge much more difficult, I had a hard time getting the nice clicking sound out of it, which also means I could not use the catapult effect that much, the shots were less...
  11. Anyone knows of Nittaku DHS hurricane 3?

I tried the nittaku H3 Pro, its no way near close to a provincial level H3, I believe its a repackaged old-style commercial H3 (although havent played commercial H3 for a long time). Nittaku H3 pro was a really big disappointment after the provincial.
  12. Neo National Blue Sponge Hurricane 3 Tuned

Its not just about the cut being in line with the pips, its a 'cleaner' cut, its like not even a cut there. I am pretty sure the topsheets come out of whatever machine as a band as wide as the rubber's height or a bit wider, thats why there is no cut surface on the bottom side. Anyway...
  13. Neo National Blue Sponge Hurricane 3 Tuned

UpsideCarlDown, I dont think what you write about the center sheet and the ones around being provincial etc makes sense. For two reasons: 1. if you look at the base edge of the rubber (where the print is) thats a different edge than the other 3 sides. the bottom side is not cut, all the pimples...
  14. Butterfly Tenergy 80 FX Rubber Review

one can respect the supplier while being critical about the product. Manufacturers also know that no product is excellent in all areas of the game, so they won't be surprised. To stick to the T80fx example, one could say, 'you need to have a good touch to be able to keep the ball low in short...
  15. Butterfly Tenergy 80 FX Rubber Review

Come on guys, no offense but this review stinks! T80fx is good in everything, has no weaknesses, blah blah blah. I know it 'has to be good' bc butterfly gave it, but you could be more honest. At least Iwould expect with an fx rubber short game to be more difficult. Shouldnt say bad because its...

  17. Best forehand in the world ?

people, check this video out no one else has been able to pull out soo many FH kill shots than Chen Qi, He has tactics in this game, and very effectively sets up balls for his forehand. Joo se hyuk got destroyed pretty bad. or this: against patrick baum. so many epic forehands. For me his...
  18. Best forehand in the world ?

chen qi used to have the best forehand
  19. stiga rosewood nct v, maplewood nct v or intensity nct

I think you should consider blade feel when you choose. The intensity feels soft and hollow, rosewood and ebenholz feels very hard. VERY hard. Flexibility is probably the same.
  20. German National Championships 2014

good vs. wrong technique, I think the lack of power in those forehands make him (Timo Boll and also M Maze) focus more on spin, bc you can't do anything else than spin the ball if you hit the forehand like that. Try it yourself, how easier it is to just spin and how much more difficult it is to...
